<div class="IPBDescription">Why not?</div> I decided that I am going to offer free avatar/sig hosting for members of the NS community.
Why? I remember when I got fed up with the 'free' (ad spamming) hosting sites that have now adopted the policy of not allowing offpage linking. So, I am setting up space to host avatars and sigs (and if you ask nicely pretty much anything else)
edit: Servers are up and running.
The hosting is very stable, and has enough bandwidth to withstand traffic from the largest sites.
If you would like to put your images there just send me a Private Message and ill give you the address to where you can send the file.
Unless you request otherwise, images will be accessed through the URL www.masteroffate.com/images/filename

The reason I do not have custum avatar/sigs it the hosting is generally horible.
Nice to see the NS community pooling resources.
edit: Thanks to Thief for getting a backup screenie for me and cropping it up to sig size.
I have fixed the DNS entries for www.masteroffate.com (now if I could get around to putting content there.)
And all of the files that people have sent me have been stored either there under their preferred directory structure.
I still have tons of space and bandwidth available so let me know if anyone else wants to put their stuff there.
You're sick-minded!
Hehe sure thing. Just email me the files. My email is:
the_spam_wizard@psu.edu
Just remove _spam_ from the address (no spaces). (150+ emails a day woohoo. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> )

because the mods have asked us to use this solution only as a temporary way of having an avatar while having your own webspace. Imagine if everyone in the comunity had their avatar here <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd--> <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
Exactly the reason. Hosted images really eat up the bandwidth of a server. Each time someone looks at a forum page their browser downloads everyone's sig and avatar. If they were all hosted on the NS forum server it would really bog down the server.
I am just doing this as my own little donation to the NS community until I remember to write down my WONID so I can donate through constellation.
edit: Melenko, you can still use the same avatars as you are now. We can just copy the file to my server.
