- A dedicated machine, 800 mhz or faster (the code is unoptimized still)
- 256 meg RAM or more (just to facilitate testing)
- A connection faster then a cable modem, capable of handling up to 20 players
- An active, dedicated server that's currently running some HL mod with 15+ players on most of the time. You must post the link to your server when reploying. Only active server admins will be considered.
- Expertise in configuring HL and mods under Linux (I'm surely not)

Next couple weeks... Generally means 2 or 3, possibly more. For sure 2.

Besides, what I said was 'AT LEAST 2 weeks'
It's not 'At most two weeks' because at most is a definate variable. :\ But with 'AT LEAST' it's basically saying 'You have a better chance of getting struck by lightning, but that's the MINIMUM you will have to wait. It's not coming out before then.'

It will be out when its done, thats all there is to it, may be tomorrow, may be a year from now. <b>No one</b> knows because things are <i>constantly</i> changing.

I don't imagine it would take very long to get this done. Long ago, I got the linux server code working fine pretty quickly, so I don't expect it will be a huge amount of work.

Secondly, Flayra has mentioned that he is going to at least -try- to get the Linux server out at the same time as the full release, because of something someone who was 'in the know' said.
The faster someone can offer their services as a Linux server, the faster Flayra can get the server built, and the bigger chance of a good solid initial release.
