People posting stupid pictures, such as the stupid Gary Coleman search picture, all the various "Owned" pictures, and the pancake rabbit, just to name a few. This seems to be a growning trend on these forums, and I don't like it.
It makes threads looks incredibly stupid, sometimes ruining good threads. Also for modem people, its wasted time downloading pictures. Something that admins of the board are bound to not like is the uploading of the images, as I've seen that rabbit w/ a pancake on its head picture attatched (meaning, a seperate file is uploaded to the forum's hard drive, not just linked) about 6 or 7 times now. If everybody uploaded these pics every time, I can see that getting quite out of hand in regards to redundant and useless files littering the server's hard drives, and we would probably lose the upload priviledge.
But perhaps my strongest reasons is more personal: It reminds me of the elitist behavior that made me want to leave other game communities I've been in. I don't want NS's community to be like that.
Now, I'm not a moderator, or an admin, or anybody important really. But I'd like to ask you all, from one community member to another, to please stop with the silly pic posting.

help this is getting annoying
As one of the 56kers DOOM mentioned, I can testify that it's annoying as all hell to have to wait for pages of these things to load. Worse even than people who think posting 2-300k jpgs is fine too.
I do belive there should be a policy on this

Although, some of them can make you laugh inwardly. I would post the picture but we already have a thread for that so it's kinda inappropriate.

But back on topic, I never really was annoyed by those pictures, even if some of them were a little disgusting / pointless. It's when the same "funny" pictures get posted over and over again that it starts to become too much. I mean, seriously, how many times do we have a see a closeup of a cat being lifted into the air with the caption "You make kitty scared" under it? At least link remotely to the image so you don't eat up the forum space. I've got a nice connection so I'm not really bothered by the occasional random picture, but at please post intelligently.
300k images are <i>not</i> needed really, just give us a big enough pic so we know what you're showing us please..

Please stop the stupic picture posting, they just aren't funny, and they are detrimental to the thread.
Some of the pictures are funny and usually when someone says POST PICTURES here, what do you expect?
I myself, having not seen any good humorous things as of late, always chuckle at some of the GOOD pictures. The darth vader *owned* one is pretty good. and the bunny is the best one i've seen.
I mean really, what is wrong with that other than perhaps being off-topic? Sorry, I don't mean to seem so offensive to those of you that feel strongly on the other side of the fence. I just ask for a list of reasons.
