I need a bit of help finding a free program in which I can create my own music in...like techno and such. My friend told me about it, but I forgot the name of the program...and he is away for a long time.
Found <a href='http://www.magix.com/select.html' target='_blank'>this</a>, a copy was given away on a PCFormat DVD a few months ago, which is how I found it. Not free now but there's a demo version you could try.
Well, I use <a href='http://195.149.144.123/products/reason/main.html' target='_blank'>Reason</a> to make music. And it's a program on three CDs... Sorry, but not free... <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
I use, and have used for some time, Fruity Loops, Logic and Cubase.
No i didn't pay for any of them, no they're not illegal. I love my old college <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Ontop of that i use a Roland XV-5050 sound module. Wheee.
fruityloops, or if your feeling snazzy, fruityloops studio (much better mixer, few new generators etc...)
but yeah fruityloops is the way to go, if youv ever seen Music on playstation, its pretty much the same... I recently started using fruityloops as a plug-in running thru Cubase SX, now THAT is the shiznits, totally brings out the sounds of fruityloops and stop it sounding quite so discount/ shallow. plus if your running fruityloops thru cubase you can play around with many more effects pluging, fruityloops seems to have trouble with alot of plugins, but cubase pwns them all.
I mainly use Fruityloops as a sampler and backing step sequencer / tracker, which is what it is. Then it's straight over to the XV-5050 for the basllines (operated through Cubase) and the Synth Leads (again, Cubase).
