Looking For Futuristic Weapon Sounds

<div class="IPBDescription">No other forum was really appropriate</div> Hi all,

At the moment I am after some nice futuristic marine weapon sounds. Particularly, I am looking for sounds that seem like they could exist in the future, all the while maintaining links to more traditional weaponry (if you know what I mean). I have attached a reference sound (the ut machine gun file) as a reference as I feel it highlights what I am talking about. It is believable that a futuristic weapon would sound like this, yet it is not over the top with bings, piffs and zaps <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

Currently I am using said file in the mg role and thus I am after appropriate pistol and hmg replacements. I would think that both these sounds would be like the attached file, only beefier.

If any one can attach some cool sounds or point me in the direction of futuristic sound packs or databases I would appreciate it. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

PS. Please note I am using custom models and blue muzzle-flashes to tie in with the non-convential weapon theme if you are wondering why I want this type of sound.

<span style='color:gray'>EDIT: Didn't want to post this in a new thread: is there any marine HA models with smartgun animations? I can't seem to find any. At the moment I am using SC 1.2 soldier replacement models with smartgun animations and they look great. It looksss weird with my default HAs walking around with vertical guns </span><!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Please note I did say it was the UT machine gun sound. Plus I fail to see what is "horrible" about it. It has a nice futurisitc sound, while retaining ties to more convential weaponry noises.

    I gave the default HA model smartgun anims. Get it from <a href='http://members.aol.com/handhyle/heavy.htm' target='_blank'>my site</a>

    <img src='http://members.aol.com/handhyle/images/smart_ha.jpg' border='0' alt='user posted image'>

    Edit: The only other smartgun-using HA models I know of are the AvP2 Apesuit models which are a little fugly IMO, though there are a couple with very nice skins.

    <a href='http://www.overmind.org/ns/ns_intro.swf' target='_blank'>http://www.overmind.org/ns/ns_intro.swf</a>

    but I dunno if it's possible to have the machine gun to sound like that <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Personally I lifted some of the sounds from Day of Defeat to use with my guns.

    LMG = M1 Garand (allies)

    HMG = MG34 (axis)

    Works suprisingly well. As an alien, the LMG sound now scares the living bejesus out of me!

    I am currently using some Raven Shield sounds i found <a href='http://www.dayofdefeat.net/forums/showthread.php?threadid=11633' target='_blank'>here</a>, I think they sound quite neat ingame <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
    And as for the HA try <a href='http://t2k.neotech.cc/cgi-bin/preview_model.cgi?mod=ns&model=avp_heavy' target='_blank'>this</a> one <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
