    hey i got a cool idea, make it like a series of hamster cages connected etc and have all those cool tunnes and stuff like a maze sorta and connect the tunnels and cages to a maze which at the end of the maze has marine spawn or an alien hive! thatd be hell cool lol

    Bwhahahahaha, yes.

    But then with more cages that are connected by many pipes you can see through, a maze feeling.

    maps were you can shoot the hives with a pistol from marine spawn are crap.
    You can do this, when you use models for the cages and with the transparency.dlls you will have low r_speeds, too but i dont think it makes much sense

    You MUST jopin marines first with "jointeamone" because ... you know what marines say every game?

    ok there is a small invisible gap right above the CC.
    nedless to say that this map is not ballanced.

    the view distance is 8 times higher than normal. but flay hardcoded stuff so make entities invisible for a long range. without it comm mode wont work.

    this is soo huge. You know that explosions are BIG!

    without that hole you wont see the cage anywere. its the base of the cage.

    NS has a special multiplier for the entity culling distance so that entities don't dissappear at the edges of commander view, but you can still change the base value to make entities visible farther away. With a room that big though your r_speeds must be awful.

    Emm, Ollj, that isn't the map we were thinking about...

    I'm thinking about 1 cage for marine, 3 cages for aliens, a couple more cages for res, all connected by pipes made of glass.

    well duh u wudnt have 3 hives and a comm chair in 1 tiny cage. hes just gotta add more cages and pipes etc. things like this take time <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->
