How Lame

Last night, i was playing on the {H2O}7 server(the only server i play on). We were on ns_caged on the marine side. Nobody wanted to comm so after 5 minutes without a comm i jumped in the chair and started to put down stuff. The whole alien team attacked us all at once and i alrdy secured a hive, and so i started to build at the hive and then it said i got kicked and banned permanatly.

How lame is this ****? Ive seen about 30 horrible comms on that server and they never get banned.

    Talk to the guys who run the servers. Mabye you got banned for another reason.

    Just look for their website. Usually they'll have some fourms where there will be a banned/complaints section.

    Does servers ban only the cd-key??     That's what I'd suggest. Also, I'd suggest playing on more servers, there are some really good ones around.

    I will note, i've seen an increase of people not wanting to comm. I've jumped in the chair quite a lot, trying desperately to pull off SOMETHING before aliens owned us, but I'm a horrid comm, well, a newb com. Over the last week, I've had to comm every other game, and I always get yelled at for trying to keep us alive. I tell them that if they can comm better, please, do, I don't want the job, but they just flame me, and eventually I leave in search of better servers.

    The question is, Why don't people wanna comm in 1.04 now? Also, Why flame someone trying to help marines anyway he can? If you can comm better, why don't you?

    *shrugs* I don't get it...

    Its really just more fun to run around and shoot. Everyone expects there to be a comm, and on pubs people work ok together with one, but when there is no comm, there is no teamwork, and no winning for the marines...

    So, bottom line, its not very appealing. I do try to comm my fair share of games when I feel motivated. Otherwise, I just run around ramboing. I am a pretty good comm, but people just don't listen to orders and that makes it too dificult to be any fun. Hopefully, in 2.0 comming will be easier to pick up and learn as a noob because otherwise, marines go nowhere.

    I would ask the people at h20 what went down.

    most people frown upon "dirty laundry" in these forums, but if you weren't being a llama or a cheater then you seem to have a just cause, e-mail or post on the h20 forums and find out

    well its sad that people don't want to comm anymore but i can understand why...
    There has in my experience been an increse in flaming the comm the last months when it as usual was the players extreme ability to not follow orders.
    Anyway talk to h2o and maybe read the rules and see if you did brake them somehow

    Well.. I know why *I* don't want to comm, and that's because a) you will always get people flaming, b) it's a lot of stress (you have so many things to think about, besides people constantly asking for stuff) and c) the commander interface is something I feel I have to work around rather than with. You can't see enough on the screen at once, it's too zoomed in.. and, well, they've obviously tried to sort out a lot of the other interface problems in 2.0, but the current commander view hasn't been changed at all. For an RTS fan used to the slick interface presented in a lot of games, being a commander in NS can be very frustrating.

    People at h20 are a little weird at times....

    I got banned for just arguing with some regular (im a regular too) but this guy kisses up to the admins....

    Plus, i was on the *correct side* of the argument....

    He was making the game 30 minutes longer than it should have been, I gave him a piece of my mind, and then the loser got me banned. The admin(s) banned me without me even present to defend myself. They never gave me a chance to explain, good thing i pmed [Mercs]Dragon in these forums, he straightened it out for me.
