Tell me what you think about this as a header for a all around HL mapping site. Me and some clan mates are making a mapping site and I am doind some of the graphics and web design. The page background is black, but I would like to know how this looks to yall.

    Neat, although most mappers would consider it a bit plain considering that logo/background has been done a bit more. Why don't you get the style of the website more and somehow fit it into the background.

    Take away the light in the font, replace it with something else.. The light in the font reminds me of paintshop pro..

    It is PSP, I like PSP, what's wrong with PSP? I have PS7 but don't know how to use it good. I also have the Gimp which PWNS JOO ALL! I can get rid of the light thingy, if it bugs y'all that much and try is in PS7.

    compare the italic text you have atm to a normal text version, choose which you like best

    THat hammer, that hammer...its narby's! The CS mapper who made de_aztec! I remeber that as his CS-Nationalist icon <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->. either that or its a symbol for BarryWorld Severs. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> either way, its looks very nice. but I am more curious how the rest of the site will work out around this header.

    Guys, you could at least <i>try</i> to be nice and in some way constructive, *peers at SBV and RoDuS*.

    As with everyone else, i have to agree that the lens flare looks pretty dire, try maybe replacing it with softer lights, experiment a little, maybe continue the mapping "blueprints" style into the text itself or something.

    It all just takes practice dude, just get yourself a program and practice long and hard. Although, i must admit, to do it well it takes a certain amount of artistic talent which, i'm afraid, isn't something you can learn, it comes naturally.
