<div class="IPBDescription">Ever make some up?</div> Natural Selection doesn't have very much slang it seems. There used to be Bob and Tiny back before we had the NS backstory. Now we have some abbreviations. Anyone here use and specific NS slang terms when playing? Heck, make em up.

My slang word:
"Resmonkey"/"Resmonkies"- Marine players whose sole job is to go around capping nodes. They fight only to stay alive in order to cap more nodes!

    idiot, moron, dumbnut, retard, and 'sigh'

    what I call people who can't do simple tasks which you think would be common sense.

    Such as
    1. Those who stand getting ammo while all 5 teammates die to a massive alien rush. Once they got their 250 rounds they look up and die.

    2. People who follow me like they are my pet dog. Me and the person are asked to guard a node...I walk to check around the corner knowing my teammate is there too...he follows, sigh. So I have to explain "stay!" while I go check around the corner. Treat people like dogs and its funny how often they listen.

    3. My favorite...this gorge who instead of healing the hive and building defense...decides to cap a nozzle. "Heal the hive! Get up DCs" I say...because our only hive is "your hive is dieing". His reply is "Hold on, I need to get this res nozzle".

    Ive done some stupid things but geez...its amazing some of these people can figure out how to turn on their computer.

    Hmmm... perhaps we should make 'Resmonkey' a dual usage term for players whose sole job is to orchestrate resources, both building and destroying. Moderators! We need a poll! :-)

    and I sometimes yell at people for being "fanboys." for NS fanboys are a bit different from just normal fans you meet during the course of life.

    Eh. I consider that more gaming terms than 'slang'. Slang is a uncommon/goofy word used to replace a game term in my opinion. This topic is about the interersting, unconvential words used to replace gaming terms.

    One term that I use frequently in and out of NS (despite its Politically Incorrectness), is sped. The term is a contraction of "Special Eduction". Sped is more fun to say, and when people don't know what it means, nobody is offended. And it doesn't sound as harsh as calling someone a straight out retard.

    So whenever someone is doing something incorrectly, but their skills show they are not a newbie, then they are a sped. In the game anyway, in real life you can apply it to a whole lot of things... <!--emo&::onos::--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tiny.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tiny.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I still prefer dumbnut. It pisses me off though cause ive been calling people dumbnuts for years now. I was watching a movie...umm, oceans eleven, and the guy in the movie called someone a dumbnut. Hollywood stole my word! Grrrr
