You got it yet?
Well, the 5th Harry Potter book came out yesterday, and I got my copy yesterday, too. I've only gotten to page 89...out of about 870 pages. It's a start though And if you haven't gotten it yet, well, then, shame on you!

P.S. If your an anti Harry-Potter person, then just please don't post on this topic.

I haven't even read the first.

It's not that I have something against Harry Potter (I quite enjoyed the first film) it's just that I'm lazy as hell.....

Wrong my friend! Just because a book a marketed at children doesn?t mean it is. I dont think they should be because they get very intense and scary and no one under 13 should read it, if books had rateing's HP 4-5 would get "Teen" or "PG-13". I admit the first book is a bit childish but still very good, but 2-5 are an excellent read no matter what age you are.

Yeah, just because childrens toys are advertised for children dosen't mean you can't have fun with them too! Mermaid Barbie, attack!

Is it just kids and people who can't spell good?

I'll get around to it. I have more books to read right now, and it's going to take my brother forever anyway. It's kind of like seeing the Matrix Reloaded: I didn't like the stuff before it, but I have to see (read) it anyway or I won't know what anyone's talking about.

I watched the first film and played the game, but never read the books, I heard they are pretty good, but I might have to invest in some disguises like a long rain coat, shades and a large hat in order to buy the book so I don't destroy my street cred completely (whatever is left of it anyway).

Also, has J.K Rowlin got too much money?? If so, she can give some to me.

Uh for those who don't know, J.K. Rowling is actually the richest woman (and I think person actually), and that includes the queen. Just some trivia for your head.
• HawkeyeHawkeye Join Date: 2002-10-31 Member: 1855Members
Surely not. Bill Gates?
• marksman_not_newbiemarksman_not_newbie Join Date: 2003-05-02 Member: 16009Members
You know i think Bill gates (the one with the Hair) might just be richer. Much richer, but yeh she got more cash than the queen which is quite entertaining in its self.

Oh and i have read them all in case u didnt guess, and i hated the film. It just confirmed thoughts of those who thought it was childish and stupid. Tbh If u read the book its very different to the film, style wise i mean.
well i think it is. but meh, ur choice

No, Bill Gate's wife is the richest woman...or at least she will be when he mysteriously dies from electrocution while trying to get his Linux cluster online

I haven't gotten HP#5 yet, but am looking forward to it immensely. I have a policy of only buying books after they've come to paperback, so I won't be purchasing a copy in the near future, but I'll probably borrow it from a less strong-willed friend pretty soon.

To those who haven't read the Harry Potter series yet:
1) "Lazy" is not a valid excuse. The books are very easy to read.
2) "They're for kids" isn't either. They're entertaining and clever.

Now, if you're simply one of those dimbulbs who doesn't like fun books (eg sci-fi, fantasy, whatever), I can't really help you, but I doubt you'd be reading this in the first place if you were that hopeless.
