<div class="IPBDescription">i can't thake it</div> I just came from the [BYNS] clan server where the following thing happend...

A new game starthed and i headed together whit a budd to clear a hive to secure it.
Sins the comdr was a noob, the friendly Cinder[BYNS] sead that he'll say what the comm has to do sins he is in a clan he knows the whole game...
We got there and bilded a RT , TF and <b><i>ONE</i></b> turret, meaning that only one side was ''covered''.
The aliens spoted us and began attacking us , my budd went down and i noticed that the comm made no Warpgate, nore more turrets.
Sins i was running on my last clip of ammo , 51HP and infected whit a parasite i began to ask to the comm for more turrets...
The comm sead nothing and i kept asking for more turrets ,as i had only my handgun left.
Then this happends:

Me: Comm i got only my HG , 51 hp , and i got a parasite. We need those turrets up.
Cinder[BYNS] : Shut up, only a n00b relys on turrets!
Me: But WE need turrets here!!!
Cinder[BYNS] : Lissen n00b it's not about automathed guns its about us, marines are much better in defence
Me: Yes, But why don't we use turrets?<img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'>
Cinder[BYNS] : Not using turrets? lol
Cinder[BYNS] : N00B a marine is better defence then some automathed turret.
(keep in mind that all the other players were joyriding arround the map , and trying to thake over a hive...)
Me : But we still need turrets to secure the base!
Cinder[BYNS] : lol n00b
*as he is an admin he begins bringing up messages that i'm a noob,ect...*
Me: But i really need turrets!
*2 new skulks come running at me, i shoot one down , the other kills me , we lose the hive*

I've been playing NS SINS DAY ONE and so far i've always used turrets to secure bases, but is the the new tactic or do we have to question how that he got into a clan?!

Whell sry but i'm just so **** at some people this days , they think they know everything... So people keep your faith in turrets they'll save your **** sometimes...

Yes this is a new strat. Instead of using turrets, Comms are now supposed to research the scorpian that hovars without flapping.

sounds like that com deserves to lose that hive. If you want to keep a hive the turrets will atleast give the marines time to get there when the skulks start to gnaw at the turret factory....
And the fact that he already build one turret and TF and dont want to build more turrets there seams odd.

While using turrets is debatable, it doesn't make any sense to drop a TF and then just ONE turret. Either you drop several, or you drop none...otherwise it is a waste of resources that will go down the second a single skulk finds it. At the very least he could have just recycled it all. On the other hand, demonstrating good grammar and spelling goes a long way to gain the trust of a com <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'>

That's one crappy admin. As for turrets, great for support, bad as standalones. And yes, building a TF and one turret is very "n00b" of that comm. it is also a case that turrets are very rarly ussed in scrims and what not, some clanners then take it to the point of absurdity. And then alot of pubbers go 'ohh look at the |33+ clanners they don't use turrets the is for teh nubs'

basicaly, ussing turrets is sorta silly in cases of base defence, and they are a waste of rzr if you use em too much. But people have gotten stupoid about it now.

Oh, and Duo, is that the same Duo from EX forums, or simply another fan (of what ever duo maxwell is from)

[BYNS] isn't a clan - it's a GSP, and the new tag people (for "veterans" of the service - basically we get access to exclusive regulars-only servers) are <i>supposed</i> to be ambassadors of a sort, showing fair and courteous play, etc. Glad to see they're setting such a good example. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'>

Hi guys,

I am the guy on [BYNS] who selected the veterans, they are not admins, neither am I. There was however a mixup whereby we got access to admin_say commands, I thought we were allowed them so I taught some people how to use them, then I found out it was a mistake, so I asked the guys not to use them (most had been using admin_chat to have a bit of banter etc, all in good nature). I will ask Cinder for his side of the story before I condemn him, but if this is true then he should be ashamed, the reason we wear this tag is because we are supposed to set a <b>good</b> example and help people if we feel they need it, not be abusive in anyway!

If you would like to come into #byns on Quakenet you will see we aren't bad guys, and hey, I will take you onto one of the 3 servers and show you what the veterans are really like.

Not to be a party pooper here but...ehm.........
You went on a server, got mocked/insulted and then went on to post it here in the forums.
Now it's never nice to get abused in any way whatsoever but please people..
I'd have a forum all by myself with crap server experiences.
I just say we drop it.
Everybody runs their server the way they want to. If it's part of a network or clan? inform them about it.
Don't like it? Disconnect and find another server.
I'm not flaming but I see more of these posts and it's generally a waste of time AND space.
(And wasting time and space is only allowed by Einstein).

the byns vets are not usually like that, sorry to hear u got that thrown at you but it does unfortunately happen. I got added to the BYNS vet list a few days ago & as I can see the majority of the vet's on the list are really sound blokes.

Those servers are not clan servers but Blueyonder servers....
