Gun Pod
Here's a HMG. It's a podded gatling gun made of lightweight composites with a governed rate of fire to keep recoil to a controllable level (haha yeah right, but I needed to say that to explain the slower rate of fire so it fits the HMG theme )
Anyways, you don't get to see the fancy barrels unfortunately, but its at least less than 1000 polys. I like my 12 sided cylinders anyway, it shouldn't give anyone trouble, but I suppose I could use fewer sides if I absolutely had to go back and redo it all.
The loading sequence is hard to explain, but the right forearm raises up so the barrel is over your shoulder, and the left arm sticks a replacement ammo drum in.
Here's the "inspiration" picture (you may have to copy and paste or click and drag). http://www.angelfire.com/d20/autumnblade/nomadgun.jpg

it looks kind of plain, but I made it last night after I made the star-trekky gun and the UT2003 gun so I was kinda tired, lol
I positioned it in perspective and it shouldn't look too bad in 1st person view. Perhaps a shoulder strap may be needed.... anyways. It's aimed with the FLIR camera on top/front feeding targeting data to the marines visor.
