A little subtlety

<div class="IPBDescription">Out of ideas</div>I had to add this block to reduce r_speeds in a neighbouring room. Now how can I make it look like it does something in this room? I tried making it as a computery thing, but it just doesn't look right to me.

Maybe a big fallen beem from the celling. The number one thing that I'd suggest, make it look like it could be used somehow, instead of it just being a random block in the room. If this is supposed to be a command console, add a chair next to it and a keyboard and a monitor of some kind. Or, if you're going for the supercomputer look, add some cables, maybe some pipes going into the ground. Maybe even a waist-high desk partially around it?

Extend one end to the wall (the one closest to a wall), and have a platform that runs on one side end to end and put comps and keyboards, maybe a couple of chairs.

extend it to the wall and texture it like a door thats partially coming out of the wall and got stuck

extend it all the way to the hallway-side wall and put some railings on top of it with a "fake" door that doesnt open and some computers on top. then it'll look like an elevated command console. for good measure, stick some computer monitors on the lower part of it as well so it'll be like a two-level command console
