Half Life For Counterstrike Retail?

<div class="IPBDescription">weird sounding?</div> Yea, I'm a little bored.. and I've been wanting to play the original half life.. yea I can't find anywhere to get it. When I bought the CS retail, I got something called Redemption installed, seems like a story after half life, and not the original game. Any way for someone with the CS retail to actually play single player half life?

    Redemtion was really really bad IMO. You cant play HL on CS retail because the there are no HL game files. You can buy Half-Life everywhere, Amazon, EBgames, Best Buy, Wal-Mart...any major retail store should carry it.

    Yea.. I suppose I should go buy HL.. I lost my disk a year ago and have been afraid to do anything regarding uninstalling or deleteing files within half life. All the CS servers I've pubbed in has my my sounds folder friggin huge.. I probably have at least 30 different "monster kill!!" sounds that have been downloaded over the years.

    Is it really only 5 dollars though? Seems way to cheap for such a great game. Anyway, thanks in advanced <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Go to custom game and load original HL. I think then you can play HL single player.

    there are all needet models,sounds,textures in the valve folder.. when u can manage it to get all mapfiles you can play hl sp
