how does this work with VHE 3.4?
i was trying to take out a piece of a wall brush with the clipping tool. i can't seem to figure it out. i followed all the steps from the tutorial

Clip (Shift + X) - Allows you to either cut part of a brush off or separate a brush in two. To do this select the block with the selection tool and draw a line through the brush in your top (x/y) view. To draw the line left-click drag and release, move the points so that line goes straight through the brush. By selecting the clip tool again you will notice that the colors will change from white to red. The red is the part that will be cut off and the white is the part that will remain. You want both parts, so select the tool tell both parts are white, and press the enter key to make the cut. You now have two brushes.

doesn't seem to work for me, tho

    Things to remember with clip:

Select the brush to be clipped

Activate the clip tool

Click and drag to designate two points for the clipping line

Press shift+x to change the clipping mode (which side gets deleted, or just to make the brush into two pieces)

You can only clip in one plane at a time

Clip is your friend

you can also click the clipping icon till the clipping effect is right.

and be careful. clipping wont be your friend if done wrong. you should allways copy the clipped brushes and delete the old ones to avoid tons of possible errors. errors like "texture is pendicular to plane" (wrote that right?) can be the result of such an action.

That texture erro can be fixed by alignin textore to face or go to error check and push the fix button.

Im shure I wrote "avoid" such errors not "fix" XD I said that because sometimes this error cant be fixed later, however. the editor seems to be gods style to say "man, you have too few problems in your life!"
