    copy the .dem file to your \ns directory then start ns bring down the console wiv the "`" key (topleft) and type:

    playdemo incertdemonamehere

    and bobs ya uncle...

    You could also use <a href='http://www.geekboys.org/geekplay/' target='_blank'>Geekplay</a> which is good because I find loading demos faster on it and it can also fix broken demos.

    But when I use Geekplay to Viewdemo so I can puse it, etc. it buggers up on me. It moves forward one frame then pauses again. No matter what I do it only plays one frame at a time in that mode <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Otherwise pretty smart.

    guys, i made the demo play, but it is so laggy in a way. The character animation is smooth, but the rest of the game seem to lagg or something

    when I play demos with geekplay , they go very slow unless i put down the console ( but the i cant see ) , and also on my ns folder there appear bmp files of every second of the demo . Can anyone tell why is this ?     Trini Lopez, sounds like Geekplay starts HL with the /startmovie command not /playdemo. Try reinstalling or get <a href='http://www.fileplanet.net' target='_blank'>Seismovision</a>.

    Is there a way to see the menues that you have as commander when playing a demo of a com ?
