<a href='http://www.commchair.com/' target='_blank'>Comm Chair</a> Named FR31NS Server of the month for their site. I know that nobody here will care, we all have our favorite servers, but I thought I would post it to show what a great bunch of people are in that community.

I loved the response of team work when I joined the server. I did not hear moaning once! for damn shotguns and there forth. No one gave up we battled to the last man with no f4'ing. Sadly I was on losing marine team but first time happy as we communicated well I was listened too as comm (even though made mistakes^_^). I also think the policy on swearing was great also though saw no admin on there at the time people warned me of swearing once so looks like a good community there.

I don't even think thereforth is a word...
Looks like anyone can make an award and hand it out. Kind of reminds me of awards that people get for webpages....
- where is it based on that it is the best server
- who did they ask to give there opinion
- how many servers are tested
- everyone have his own favorite

That is no longer the case. Please delete this post, because I wouldn't want to offend people like the **** that are on here now.
I don't know about other people, but an award that's been handed out without any evaluation of 90% of other eligible candidates just makes me mad. But that's ok as long as they keep it on their site. But now you come in here and tout it like your part of the best community on the net.
Don't even try to pretend you weren't trying to say "I'm leeter than all you fools". Cuz that's a bunch of bullhonkey.
And no I wasn't saying that my server is this or that. And it is a monthly thing so if you go next month you will see another server I am sure. Now go back to trolling and being upset, for whatever reason.

Support the community, don't arbitrarily flame it.
Brutus found that is server was rated "best of the month" by some webpage.
thats nice for him.
He wanted to share his success with everybody in the community, but nobody felt the same way.

I'm curious myself. Well, we were happy about it anyway. Sharing our joy here was obviously a mistake. Despite the criticisms in this thread, it was an achievement. Recognition of the hard work put in by all the admins and the quality of the regular players that frequent the server. We don't go around pimping our server on the forums. All the recommendations I have seen have come from players who genuinely enjoyed playing on the CoFR server and felt it was worth recommending.
I think we can safely go back to 'quietly achieving'.

Now why would he need to survey 90% of the other game servers? the title of the column isnt "best server evar" its server of the month, implying that many possible good servers exist and they can be judged on their own merits. Also from the context of the article, it is apparent that the author has played on enough public servers to judge some of the more common problems that we all complain about in bad games. And he specifically noted what aspects he enjoyed about the server.
And since apparently nobody took the time to look, there is a news post in the news section of that site, asking for ips of good servers to try out, so it seems he did get people's opinions.
Some of you really showed your worst side in here. Wise up or face the consequences.
