How much does 'webbing' by gorges annoy you as a marine 0 the lowest and 10 the highest and why the rating you gave?

Defensive webbing: Not at all.
Offensive webbing: Somewhat, maybe about a 4.

Why? It's so very annoying when u don't pay attention to where u're going, and the pesky skulk makes u run into a web trapp... hehe... However, I belive that webbing is one of the best things in the game.. I love it.. and I love how annoying it can be! :-p

Webbing doesn't annoy me much, particularly because most of the time I'm alien, and a good comm will give you a welder. Although when I'm a marine and we have a newb comm, I'd have to give it a 6. Of course, it's not a problem for the other marines when I gorge, cuz' when I try to use web, no web appears. It's really annoying, especially when my teammates get **** at me for not webbing up the hive.

Webbing is easy, you just have to keep the 'strands' within a maximum length.

Here's how you do it.

Yep, basicly the first place your 'web shot' hits marks point A. Your second shot marks point B.

It then draws a piece of web from point A to point B so long as it can do so in a streight line.

Thus if point A and B are around the corner from each other...nothing.

As for webbing, I kinda get annoyed when the gorge runs up and webs the start but by that point the games pretty much over anyway. Overall I like webbing, really adds something to the game.

Webbing annoys you? Just wait till you get stomped by a three ton alien rhino, who then eats you. THAT'S annoying. Cause then they make some comment like "You need to go on a diet. There's too much fat on this marine." or simply "Burp.".

Depends how the webbing is used, really.
If I run into webs from around corners or soemthing, I don't mind. They're a fun part fo the game and a great way to stop HA marines =)
However, I played one game where, after destroying everything but one IP at our base, the aliens then camped out around it with Fades, a Gorge and a herd of Onos. Whenever a marine would spawn, the Gorge would web him up, the Onos would hit paralyze a few times, then a random skulk/fade would kill him after he was done struggling. This went on for about 5 mins and got quite annoying.

But overall I give webbing a 2 on the annoying-****-o-meter.

took me a while to work out webbing - how to use but great and useful when you can and its the main reason I go gorge mostly

If you are a jet packer make sure you have a welder b-4 you go into a hive. YOu can fly and take out web's by Crouching in mid air while flying with your welder on. Web is the only real JP counter in 1.04. In 1.1 marines won't be able to fly half as well as they can now anyway. The day 1.1 comes out is the day I ramp up my resolution.

I've hit people full in the face with web before and it's never seemed to stop them.

Not annoying at all. Usually it's easy to see and therefore avoid, and if a gorge has been sneaky with his webs then frankly it's admirable - much better than the usual web spam you see. As for offensive webbing, if a gorge has the presence of mind to select webs and hit you with them in combat, then fair play to him.

A) If you're zipping along and you run into a web, it's your own fault. That's the sign of a well-webbed hive.

B) It is NOT possible to web a marine by shooting directly at him. The only way to web a marine is to catch him in a complete strand. This can be done by shooting twice at the ground under his feet, but cannot be done by firing at him.

C) I don't mind offensive webbing (i.e. webbing an approaching marine). if the gorge can survive long enough and move fast enough to web a moving marine, kudos for a job well done.
