Ok it keeps saying I have something modified on my system and i need to freggin change it, I reinstalled windows xp for the fact it was going slow and to see if it was something actually on my system, i've never used a hack before and this crap is really tickin me off, does this error mean i have modified something within my half-life folder and now I need to reinstall everything from half-life to NS?

    It might be adviseable to a) compile a more precise error description, and b) contact the makers of CD.

    Some one else posted this type of problem except he did use hacks. proberly still on the boards if u do a search. altho i belive he was told to re-install ns, then if that failed HL and NS.

    From what i picked up C-D doesnt notify you of blocking hacks it simply blocks them. i may be wrong about that.

    You could try auto-update ? you proberly allrdy have as its pritty much auto but its a slight possiblity lol

    It is probally a normal error, I do remember modifiying some files awhile back, but ones to even out my fps play, and make my vid card better, and i know there is an opengl hack which I did edit something that had to do with where you would put that hack, so maybe that was the case, ill just reinstall everything. and if that doesnt work then ill contact them.

    The server has enabled mp_consistency. Reinstalling NS will help, and you can still play on some servers.

    there is some sorta bug with CD and NS I don't know if this is it or not, but UA are the people to talk to (I would also Like to point out the tech suport forum)

    I had the same thing come up once and it worked after i deleted autoexec.cfg from ns folder (old leapbite script thing i only used once to test) but the strange thing is it had worked for all that time with the autoexec there... or maybe just the server i went on had the mp_consistency set as Pegenator said.

    mp_consistancy dosn't check cfgs (thikn it checks models, sprites, and sounds, probably skins also though I am not sure abought all of this)

    I had the exact same problem as the topic starter. It happened with older C-D, but now its gone for some reason. The reason why it happened was because I had changed my marine/alien models to StarCraft models and the C-D thought I was cheating (maybe or its just bugged?). Now the problem has vanished. mp_consistancy error comes straight to the console before you get to play and doesn't have anything to do with C-D. This C-D's "Error" thing comes when you've already played for a while and it just decides to crank up. I'd recommend re-installing NS for possble fix or re-installing/updating C-D.

    I had this problem, and I discovered the cause was the way in which I was connecting to the server.

    I started up halflife with my counterstrike shortcut, and then went directly to the console and use connect <ip>

    now I make sure I am in the mod I intend to play before I ever try to connect to a server, and I haven't had any trouble since.

So I would see if u have the newest one and that might help.
