<div class="IPBDescription">I created a website. Go me.</div> Hey. I need some opinions on my website. After 3 whole hours of sweat, toil and cursing at the screen, I have the finished product. I tried to make it clean and I tried to minimize loading times, and this is what I came up with. I'm, by no means, super-creative, but I kinda like it. It's pretty crisp, and contains a grand total of 4 images (3 of them backgrounds) on the main page. Does anyone have any suggestions for improvement? Note: None of the links on the navigation bar work just yet. I want to finalize my design before I go creating more pages.

    Yeah, I was thinking about changing that.     Kudos for not going overboard with images and flashiness. Style over substance websites are tiresome, and you've done the right thing my making a clear and simple site.

I think the flashiest part of my website is the IFRAME in the topright of the table, which is for news. I'm even thinking of changing the background on that page to the content background image, to make it only 3 images. I appreciate your comments.     Stick to one color theme that matches well together

    Sorry green blue and yellow background with red and black (not counting the text in the jpeg ) just do not cut it

    Simply pick two or three colors that work well together is easier
    Look at how this forum color matches well together

They're trying to get us to not use Windows, because it only open the CD drives in Windows. I discovered a nice work around, though.     Sorry for the double-post. I changed the backgrounds around a little. I'm now keeping a scheme of reds, blacks, blues and beiges. I still have to make a new logo.

    It's not my first site. :o I've been making websites since I was 9! (I'm 14 now). I just went on hiatus for a year, because things started to get too complicated, and I wanted to expand my interests.     2. Iframe has horizontal scroll bar in ie6
    3. Use a style sheet and set 'A:hover' to something distinguishable from 'A'

    I'm thinking of redoing it so that it isn't fixed size, but this is going to require a lot more work. Personally, I'd prefer if everything looked exactly the same. It's been tested in IE, Opera, Mozilla, and Konqueror (Linux browser) and it looks exactly the same in all of those browser, but it's what the site viewer wants, not what I want, that matters. It'd involve more work, however.
