I remember Flatline and Virgil were gonna host a LAN in Texas; I haven't heard from them in a while, so I don't know if it's still on. My only qualm is that Texas gets a tad bit warm in the summer.

A) Is it possible to create an NS lan server with 16000 people to join?

B) Who is going to pay for this ****?

Maybe everybody meeting in one location isn't the best idea. Perhaps we should have a meeting in europe, US east coast, US west coast.

What <i>I</i> would do is bring these pets or something, like a cat, or a dog. Whichever Flayra likes. Then I'll distract him--"Look at my parrot! Look what he says! *SQUUAK* I want 1.1! *SQUUAK* I trained him to say that! Haha!" Then Flayra will be like oh cool! and try to teach it new stuff. Then I'll slowly but surely lead the pet outside. Flayra will follow it, then I'll shut the door and lock it. Then I'd race to his computer, scan it all over and check for 1.1. Then I'd play on Flayra's name and build sensory first in 1.04, and go Lerk and stuff at 1 hive, and JP/HMG rush. Buahaha!

Or I could just, y'know, get an Onos to eat him alive.

I'd be more than happy to attend something like this. Flayra and I went to the UVA-LAN (Which was primarily for Tribes1/2) last year and had a total blast - 500 players! If this got seriously organized and became some sort of big NS event, I would be willing to put up plenty of door prizes and contest prizes as well. Plus we always have corporate sponsors sniffing around trying to give away tons of free stuff, so we'd have that going for us.

This is a pretty big undertaking - usually, only people with a lot of experience (and aged <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'> ) can pull this type of thing off. Volunteers?
