You skinmesh it, skin it, give it skinned arms, animate it, create and tweak the cfg file for the animations, scale, and origins, and then you make sure the SMD's corresponding to the animations are identical to the ones in the NS model.
Which is why I'm still a modeller, I can't even get the skinmeshing part <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
Search for tuts on pistol makin that will help, there is one on models.firearmsmod.com ro something that tells you how to make a slide for the glock if you want to learn to make slides. for the flashlight thing my suggestion would be make it like that scope but attached to the bottom with a block connecting them.

it does look like the law giver lol...looking i myself am a bit of a newbie modeller...im still fiddleing around with it...im going to wait till 1.1 ns comes out before i release anything...anywhom um looking good...make sure ur poly's stay as low as possible and keep it simple...then add more specific details later...
This isnt the final look. I am just testing milkshape although any colour suggestions? I was gonna do it like black, grey and white in a kind of cammo design
