<div class="IPBDescription">Perfect Music For NS</div> If any of you guys need music to play NS, i suggest you download some Apocalyptica.

It's four german guys (my friend says there's one girl :\ ) with cellos. Then they put on distortion and stuff, and make it sound REALLY cool. Plus, it totally fits the mood of NS. Btw, if you like metallica, they do some real good covers of them. Here's a few filenames that i like from them:

Apocalyptica - Path.mp3 <------VERY popular
Cult - 07 - Beyond Time.mp3
Creeping Death.mp3
Apocalyptica - Welcome Home (Sanitarium).mp3
Apocalyptica - Inquisition Symphony - 09 - Domination.mp3
Apocalyptica - Nothing Else Matters.mp3

I'm sure there are a lot more, but i don't download just anything on kazaa <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Mmm, if anything I just listen to good ol' fashioned, balls to the wall death metal. Apocalyptica are cool, but seriously better to have a nap to.

    I usually don't play music with NS, it's one game where' it's important to listen.

    totally true... but it's just a totally different game when you have some good music playing. Like, when you kill someone when you should've died, if you have good music playing you get pumped up ten times more!

    nice. can i just mention, metallica have done a live album with san fransico orchastra. S&M by metallica, but u can mostly hear the crunchy guitar work but the string and trumpets go poot! every now and then. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Old news - they've done music for YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEARS.

    But yeah - I also have no music for this game. It pays to pinpoint exactly where an enemy will come from. Bad enough having marine building sounds drown out a stealthy skulk, you don't want dramatic or atmospheric music adding to this!

    I'm almost certain that Apocalyptica is Finnish not German, it would explain the countless references to Finland and the funky names of the band members.

    All of the band members used to have long hair if I'm not mistaken. It’s a shame that they’ve went for a more “modern” style but perhaps they switched band members, I remember one cool music video where they sat down and played their cellos while headbanging.

    Apocalyptica may be jolly good but I don't think that the music suits Natural Selection. It's not the kind of music that you would hear in a Alien movie.

    Meh, finnish, german, iono

    That video was for Path, and i found it the funniest thing i've ever seen.

    It wouldn't be in an alien movie, but alien movies are different than NS... you don't have constant action... you have a lot of listening and then the music gets all shrill RIGHT when something happens, you can't do that with a game. Just from that music on the main page it seems to fit the mood, and i find it awesome to listen to while chomping on marine ****.

    First things first. I'm sure the admins won't like you encouraging music piracy.

    Myself, if i ever listen to music in NS (very rarely i might add) it's usually some of Mortiis's old albums, really nice ambient stuff. It fits in well and doesn't really hinder your ability to hear what's going on around you.

    Yes, FINLAND! We have few bands that people actually know abroad and then they don't know it's finnish. Wth <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo--> The sad part is that most of those band people know, suck bad(Darude, Bomfunk MC's, HIM).

    Bleh - cheap synthfaggery masquerading as "ambient". Best thing he did took place in Emperor. That and all those prosthetics he stuck to his face.

    example

    infected mushroom - Unbalanced

    its from the album B.P. Empire (wich I got legal btw <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> )

    Sometimes I even listen to nsradio, but somehow it doesnt work properly while ns'ing <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    The funkiest thing about finnish is that about 80% of the names end in '-nen' or '-la'. I mean...your name could be Bill Little-riser if translated literally. That's funky. And not to mention most of your Finnish surnames are named after natural features: Salmi(nen), Lahti(nen), Joensuu, Jokinen, J?rvi(nen), Niemi(nen). Then there's the plants and animals: Koivu(nen), Lehti(nen), Karhu, Tiainen, and so on.

    FUNKY!

    Many countries have last names that have the same end. For example America it's different because it's a collection of different nationalities. I actually prefer the more melodic songs (much like the ones you have listed cr3am)
    When Apocalyptica tries to force a Cello to play too loud or harshly it just sounds poor to me.
