    You're right, Hida, it's NS_Nothing.  You can tell by the name of the room he's in... "Room with Things." <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

    In <a href="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/uploads/cgc-nsipt10-5.jpg" target="_blank">this</a> pic it seems like those two resource nodes are a bit close. Is there something wrong with that, or does the mapping guidelines say that nodes can be close together?

    I have a room with two nodes, myself.  I simply lowered the max resource value of the nodes.  I would guess that you would get resources faster, sure, but they'd not last the long haul compared to a standard node.

    True, true.  I believe the original design only had a single node... the 2nd was added in the first of two redesigns, and adds a lot.  That room has many, many, MANY entrances, but can feel pretty small when you toss some turrets into it.  Defending it is difficult, but the two nodes make it a pretty worthwhile investment.

    Putting 2 nodes in, makes it a good battle zone. If the aliens sit around and let the marines aquire the whole room and get turrets setup, they are either dumb or lucky. Dumb to let them do it, or lucky if they get their 3 hives online while the marines setup that base. If the aliens get their 3 hives, leyt's just say those few marines and turrets don't stand much of a chance <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    Weee really really great shots!

    Now could somone answer my questions ?  <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->  (seems like i've asked this every time there is a new PT-screenshots post)

    Q.1 Do Marine Turrets have infinite ammo or do Marines have to reload them ?

    Q.2 When will it be done ? (naah Just kidding I only had 1 question)  <!--emo&:p--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':p'><!--endemo-->

    #1 - Well, I will not say as this is being discussed by the testers right now. If someone official wants to say if guns must be reloaded, I will let them and not have rumours circulating.

    To answer the two resource node problem (As that's my map), currently the amount of resoruces in any given resource node is at a fixed number set by Flay. I wanted that room to be useful for whoever has control over it, so I jammed two next to each other. (Twice the resources)

    It seemed to work pretty well!

    Question about the level 5 - if you're a marine and you get to a high ground, isn't the level 5 pretty impotent?

    p.s. I love the screen where the level 1 is looking right at the camera and has a sort of "Oh ####" look on it's face as the marine is shooting it.

    If you mean if the Level 5 is pretty much screwed, I would think so. But it could just pick another fight.

    BTW, what Aliens can and can't climb a ladder? I mean it would look a bit silly for a Level 5 to go up a ladder.

    Also why is  <!--emo&:bob:--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/bob.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':bob:'><!--endemo--> and <!--emo&:pudgy:--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/pudgy.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':pudgy:'><!--endemo--> so detailed yet <!--emo&:asrifle:--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/asrifle.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':asrifle:'><!--endemo--> looks pretty generic?

    All aliens can climb ladders. The team is aiming for functionality and ease of use over extreme realism.

    Concerning the marine being generic: Heh, not in this lifetime. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo--> I think he's awesome.

    The yellow spots on the minimap are just entities, like elevators or doors.

    Jeez man, I love the marine model. Look at his armor, it's awesome. Just because it was the 1st model doesn't mean it's any more generic than the aliens.
    BTW, awesome shots Ken.

    Personally, I love the skinwork and model detail of the marine players. I agree with others that some time in the future you should be able to pick from different faces, or possibly genders, but it still rocks as is.

    One thing that always peeved me, though, was that low-cut collar they have. It seems like alot of the marine's neck and upper chest is exposed (not even a shirt collar visible under there). Having an armored plate on the front or even a full padded collar around the neckline would just seem more practical.

    Don't worry, It's not like I'm going to start spamming all over the servers "MARINEZ NEAD T3H BETTAR NECK ARMORR!!!1" or something. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->

    Being a fellow mod-maker, I can appreciate the amount of work that has to go into everything, and the importance of keeping priority levels in order.
