Read the information and guides on these forums, try to play in a "newbie" server in the beginning then play in "normal" servers. It will help you getting started, and you won't hear people flaming you because you're new.
But next time, try not to post so many smiles and turrets... And I know you're excited... <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

I have a couple of times heard talk about newbie servers but I have never seen one. Does anyone have any ip:s to any of them? Gonna try and force some friends to start playing so I could use a place for them to train besides my own computer with room for four <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
If you don't find any server like that you can assume that every french server is a newbie server <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
It's difficult to recommend a server otherwise.
Basically though, there's not a problem playing on any server, providing you adhere to one basic rule.
<b>COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR TEAM MATES</b>
If you do that, you'll have a more interesting, more social and more tactically intricate game than you would if you just run around biting people's knees.
Just two other simple things:
Don't go gorge. Don't command. Until you know what you are doing, stay away from these roles, at least until 1.1 is released. They are vital to the rest of the team and people lose patience really quickly with a newbie who goes gorge.

Go on newbie servers when you first start playing, by all means do it. But basicaly, n00b games are completely different in skill to your average pub game. I would suggest learning the basics (building, the mainly used strategies, tracking skulks etc...) then moving on to a normal server. You'll get called a "N00b" a lot, but then again, i bet some of the vets get called "N00bs" on some of the pub servers.
A tip from me to experienced players:
Go on newbie servers. I almost **** meself laughing at some of the people on there. I can't believe i used to be that crap <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> . But ill probably see someone from there in the next few days, and get knifed/parasited to death <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

I'm french but I don't play on french servers anymore...
Or I go there if I want a score like 50-8...
