Custom models keeps ns alive and more fun but is it really fare to use them?

Maybe its easier for the custom model user to se the enemy skulk then the normal user..
That gives the custom model user an advantage.
So does custom models count as a cheat?

only if they are like bright pink skulks with lasers coming out of them. Ive noticed tho that the starcraft zergling, is bigger and has arms coming out of it which makes it easier to see when hiding or on the wall in a corner or something. So models make it harder but look cooler. I think they arent cheats as long as they arent over board and like i said bright pink

Well, if somone turns there music off they can hear the enemy better, is this cheating?

Besides if people dont want custom models used on their server they can force the custom ones and so nobody can useing custom models can get in. We want to change the look of the game to more our point of view, of course cheater expliot this as exploiters will use anything to get an advantage over anyone else.

In short its fair to use them (anyone can install custom models).
If you are using the Alien pack, you are at a disatvantage. If we wanted to cheat why would we do that?

Thats what "force model consistency" is good for.

of course models can kill the game atmosphere or have cheat-aspects but not every model does.

I think it can go either way. It can be exploiting, or it may not be. In general though, I think the people who create all orange models etc. are the exception rather than the rule that gives the average person who uses replacements a bad name.

Well to make it short models can be used as cheats but they also help us keeping half-life and all of its mods alive..

They can be cheats but some can put you at a disadvantage. the aliens pack comes to mind.
all the khara are black and harder to see

the model im useing at the mo r the black aliens 1's which are dam hard to see which make it harder
