Natural Selection Server Crashing With Hlds 4111a

Ever since we've upgraded to hlds 4111a Natural Selection has been more frequently crashing, ie. sometimes after about 20 minutes. It seems to be definately since the 4111a upgrade - prior to that we've had no complaints. This is a standard server, no metamod, no plugins, just straight 4111a and NS under win32.

Is anybody else seeing this and do you have a resolution?

    hi,

    So this is a known issue? Will it be addressed in a forthcoming NS patch?

    Ever since installing DOD and getting HLDS upgraded in the process my NS server won't start at all. Crashes on start-up EVERY time. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Running WinXP. I initially had the same problem with the DOD server believe it or not but the patch to 4.1.1.1b1 fixed that.

    I've turned metamod and amx off so it just loads the ns.dll on start-up and still crashes. Any ideas at all?

    I had the same problem, when NS started it would crash immediately. I had to downgrade to 3111

    BTW Its a linux server.

    If its a RH server, i pity you.

    I had problems like a mofo on my RH box....Switching over to slackware did the trick for me (mainly because the libs are all jacked up <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> )

    ya even with the 4.1.1.1a win32 patch I get this... NUM_FOR_EDICT:bad pointer Then HLDS just hangs there. Fire or serverdoc dont help with this hang. I'm going back to 4.1.1.0 win32

    this is on a P4 2.53, 1024mb pc2100 on win 2000 server. <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->
