I was wondering if anyone played, and what armies they had. I also got a 2000 pt. Vampire Counts (Strigoi) army for Warhammer Fantasy that is my pride and joy. I bought 7 of the 20 unit Zombie boxes, for a total of 140 zombies lurching across the board as a wave. Does jack, but looks awesome

I used to play 40k - had 2 Space Marine armies, Chaos Marines, Genestealer Cult, Imperial Guard, Squats (oooh), Orks (Evil Sunz, ladz&#33, and a boatload of Eldar.

Nowadays I play Fantasy, though... Bretonnians, Empire, Dark Elves, and Orks.

A year or so back I played Space Marines and Nurgle Chaos Marines.... I stopped for a while but have just recently picked it up again, and am playing the newly-released Necrons, which look really badass. Have yet to play more than one game with them, though.

I used to play 40K, but I haven't been into in in years. At various times i've had at least 2000 points each of space marines, space orks, harlaquins, squats, tyranids, imperial gaurd and chaos space marines. I still have some minitures on display.

I was pretty good at modeling & painting this stuff, mapping is better (doesn't cost anything to scrap the lot and start again).

WOOO WH40k! i dont play much more; i got in for the modelling and painting. i have dark eldar, a bit of tau, some space marines, and a bunch of fantasy. check this site out, it used to be THE BEST WH40k message board ever but that was about a year ago and eveything is really quiet now. i mod the dark eldar forum, stop by and take a look see.

The new Necrons are badass, and I played a couple games against them. They are wrong. Anything with a fast attack unit that has 4 WS, 6 ST, 3 Attacks and a 3+ Inv. save should be outlawd . Did I mention that after you crack the damn thing it can get back up on 4+. Fast attack my ###, thats better than my elites.

You talking about the Wraiths? They aren't nearly as good as they seem to be, granted you know what to throw at them. I use them primarily for ruining any particularly important tactical maneuvers the enemy decides to make. They work well in at least a group of 3, better in larger groups but that gets expensive ($ and points wise). Their speed and special abilities make them messy to deal with in CC.

Oh, and... a Necron mech? Is that one of those conversions people used to do back when there were only 5 different units?

Perhaps when I'm done painting them, if they're not too shiny, I will take a few pics of my army.

Yea the Wraiths, and I love how the Necrons can bypass 1/2 of the rules that Gamesworkshop set up. Invulnerable saves, what are those? A giant skimming tank that kills everything in site that if you shoot down dosent crash and burn? Basic troops that are as good as Space Marines and get back up!?! Arrrrgh!

hullo, welcome to the board. and yah,the models are REAL expensive. its easier when you are only in it for the modelling because then you dont have to buy a whole army.

Yeah, I have Plaguebearer to thank for introducing me to first Space Hulk and later Warhammer 40k. Cool stuff!

I've got my Marines, Imperial Guard and Eldar here still, but I've not played in years. I've still got the old Rogue Trader book I started playing with too. One day I'm going to write an RPG based off it...

Anyways... still got the mad painting skillz, and I paint from time to time. I'm actually eyeing over my bitz for the workings of a Natural Selection TSA trooper.

I have an old box set of a 10-man tactical Space Marine squad, complete with multi-melta (a badass gun, for those who know what I'm talking about).

Maybe I'll paint 'em up in TSA colors sometime .

I never played WH, but it sounds interesting.
Tried to go on warhammer.net, but I'm at the office and that page is blocked here. Cause it falls under the category of sex. (???)
