Many of you already know me as the idling queen but I'm done school now and taking action! I will be posting in the maps area mainly maybe the odd time I'll post anywhere else

    i try very hard i end up either screwing the map up with lots of errors or just end up in the trash due to crappyness

    It doesn't matter if some of your attempts turn out well or not. It matters that you are geniunely dedicated to making something for the rest of the NS community to enjoy.

    I know mappers who lost their true purpose in level design (which is to create a world within which players can enjoy a given game or mod) and they ended up churning out maps that were without feeling or personality, as if they were submissions to a "Fastest Map Made" or "Best Looking Map" contest. Just keep on mapping, and remember that people will care if it looks cool or not, but they will care more that it is FUN.

    Perhaps this means going through a dozen projects before creating something that you like and think is good enough to release. Heck, for every CS map I made (all 3) I started probably 6 others that I never brought to completion. <!--emo&:)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':)'><!--endemo-->
