What do you guys think of this style action on a pistol, rather than the classic "slide" action?

*warning* very rough illustration

(remember to click and drag to the location bar, or copy and paste. Just clicking the link probably won't work cuz geocities isn't that great)

When you shoot, that front part slides back and the bullet port thingie opens and the bullet shell ejects out, then the front part goes forward again into it's original position

lol that was just an illustration to show the concept, not part of the model silly <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

I understand what you mean to do . But you should include some descriptions in the concept to understand the image . Cause now it's a bit weird . <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
That animation should be a good thing for the pistol

ok, here's a quick animation of the CONCEPT- read concept, not the model I wanna release, not the skin, not even the look- so don't say "er, it needs skinning" or "it's not really detailed" <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    <a href='http://www.geocities.com/burncycle360/exampleaction.zip' target='_blank'>click meh.</a>

Open that up, make the 3d view the way you like, press the "Anim" button in the lower right hand corner, and then press the > button next to the "Anim" button.

FYI: here's how to get around the Geocities remote linking blocker.

    Step 1: Upload your graphic.
Step 2: Rename your graphic to filename.txt (yes, .txt) via the File Manager rename function
Step 3: Copy the link location of your graphic
Step 4: Either use HTML/BBCode img tags to display your graphic or use HTML a tags/BBCode url tags to link to your graphic
