Why Is The Forum........ So Unstable?
i noticed in the late afternoon the server has a tendency of being very unstable and when one tries to register a new account or change any account-related info you would recieve the "page cannot be displayed" error or simply nothing would happen. well since there is no way to change your account name i wanted to make a new account. well i forgot about this little coinkydink and i made it at night. since then i havent got my email to activate the account. actually i tried twice with two different accounts and YES they are the correct email addresses. i even copy and pasted to be sure of it. so now i have two accounts that i cant activate. any solutions?
p.s. i also have tried multiple times to change the email address. either the forms would reset and nothing would happen or i would get the "page cannot be displayed". im even trying now and it still will not work for neither of my two accounts.

What browser and version are you using?
I found that IE6 would sometimes 'forget' my form information, or would 'lose' my page requests, or certain buttons wouldn't work, etc, etc, etc.
I've been using Opera 7 for the past six months or so, and have never encountered any major problems. There's a few pages which use a lot of JavaScript that are a bit finicky with Opera, but Opera has never had any errors like the IE ones mentioned above.
solved all my problems.
Better and more stable than a lot of UK forums for me.

ever try making a new account?
Could be something to do with my "File System", 10 sheets of A4, covered in random words, IP's, passy's account names, bits of tutorials, shortcuts and whatnot.
I swear I have no idea what half of it even means..<!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
If not, no idea, sorry. Maybe PM a mod?
I assume the rest of your email is getting through as normal?

1) Invisionboard is completely separate from ikonboard except that it was coded by the same coder (who left JEG to make his own company--long story). It is written in PHP. Check ikonboard--it's perl.
2) Independent tests show that invisionboard requires fewer SQL queries and less CPU the phpBBS2. Check www.bearspot.com for discussion of various BBS systems.
