<div class="IPBDescription">and how to obtain it</div> Ive spent many a day of my live telling and showing all the glorys of leap. Ive writen so much about how to leap effectively that i have gotten sick of writing and i now would like for me to be able to show you the damage potential of leap. To start you off leap does around 300 damage per leap if you hav an fps of 100. 2 leaps kills a fully upgraded ha marine. Now, i know from experiance that telling you how leap works will not help you learn how to do it. I want to show you.
anyone who wants me to show them the incredible power of leap please post on here and tell me what servers you usualy get on so that i can show you how to leap effectivly. It would be preferable if somone could let me use there server for jsut a little bit so that i can teach everyone who want to know.

That sounds interesting, but my fps is too low for that.
It is between 15-100 <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo--> (15 when there is lots of action and 100 in empty room)
Oh and iam not sure is that so usefull skill to learn, cuz in 1.1 that is not possible....

Paq- Yes, it will work in 1.1 because theres no other way to code it. why would you not want it to work in 1.1?
after hive 2 leap is the only skill i use to get kills. and i average around 13-14 kills per game with leap.

You said that you can kill a HA marine with two leaps....
It's almost the same that a light marine could be able to take out onos...

Anyway, it doesn't *matter* how much skill it takes to kill with leap. Leap is not meant to be something to kill with - it's meant to be something you use to dodge gunfire and get from A to B very very quickly. It also takes skill to kill someone with parasite, but there isn't any point either.

Even at 60fps it will still kill marines VERY quickly.
My take on it is that in 1.1 the FPS dependence will be fixed, and thus charge, leap, jp thrust, build speed etc will all have the INTENDED values (I'm assuming the ~60 or 72 fps current values?). This is not the official line, because I'm not an official of the game, but it is what I understand from extensive reading.
Leap (with the ***claw slash*** animation we remember) is clearly meant to damage as well as make you travel faster. There are two main methods to leap killing: leap into someone and kill them (difficult in open areas, easy when you can trap them against something or in a vent), or leap towards someone and switch to bite. The leap damage still occurs and often you'll only need one bite to kill them.
BTW to clarify if you can't be bothered to read my <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=21&t=27435' target='_blank'>VERY EXTENSIVE GUIDE ON LEAPING</a>, leap does 4 damage per "tick". The number of "ticks" is dependent on FPS.
If you also feel aggrieved at being stuck at 60fps or 30fps, or if you use win2k or winXP (regardless of your fps), you should DEFINITELY READ <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=1&t=28768' target='_blank'>ROOB'S COMPLETE VSYNC/FPS GUIDE</a>, because you may be damaging your eyes AND getting less than ideal performance from your machine too.

using ONLY leap, with my fps at an average of 35.

even if you have low fps, practise with leap. nightcrawler and those others who use it know its power, and how damaging it is if used correctly.
oh and i hang on tfz 1, you been there before, we talked
