Multiplayor Error..?

When i try to connect a server on internet, half life say to me :
your installation is corrupted or you don't have the latest version
I reinstall...same problem...
He don't found the latest patch, so I decide to look on the official site....
And i realize i have effectively the latest patch...

    when you load up half-life it should tell you on the main screen what version you are using , it should be 1.1.1.0 , if its no then click <a href='http://www.fileplanet.com/files/50000/57317.shtml' target='_blank'>HERE</a> to get it.

    if you have that version then try re-installing half-life and then re-install natural-selection. if that doesnt work then i dont know whats wrong :/

    i have the HL's patch 1110......

    I can only give a suggestion. My friend had a few problems while using the desktop icon. It wouldn't work if he created a game. Also going by what someone else said...

    Try loading Natural Selection like this

    1) Use the Startbar to find the "Half-life" shortcut.
    2) Once in "Half-Life" either just find an internet game to join
    or
    Go to "Custom Game" and choose the NS mod.

    If this does not work, you may have to reinstall Halflife.

    The desktop shortcut IS known to be bugged
    DON'T use it
    It's one of the most common problems with NS
    Instead use the start-menu shortcut or just start HL like Solus said

    well you can fix the desktop icon like i did. just change the start-in directory to the HL foldder (where hl.exe is) and srry for spelling :\ but im sure that should fix it and it works perfectly <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> no more bugs
