Well I noticed tons have problems have strolled in with the new and "better" HLDS v4 and 3.
So I put together some common problems and solutions together to maybe help some people in need. Maybe someone has a solution for some of my problems also.

<span style='color:yellow'><b>Problem: Serverdoc cannot restart the server in VGUI mode. When the server starts up a window appears with settings to choose and you must click it for the server to be activated</span>
<span style='color:green'>Solution: N/A</span>
--------------------------------------
<span style='color:yellow'>Problem: Serverdoc no longer closes a certain crash window that sometimes appears and causes server to remain unactive untill that window is closed manually</span>
<span style='color:green'>Solution: N/A</span>

</b>
Please note that more will be added soon. Feel free to post any other problems or solutions.

server: ftp.valvesoftware.com

The changes for this version are as follows:
v4.1.1.1a/3.1.1.1a
---------
- Made "kick # <id>" work again
- Increased max_queries_sec default to "3"
- Increased max_queries_window to "60"
(this means any program can send 180 queries in a 60 second window,
hopefully the various tools can limit themselves to this)
- Added "mapchangecfgfile" cvar. Set this to the filename of the file you
want
run on map change.
- Linux: Fixed console not being able to go into the background
- Linux: Fixed crash bug when server was in a path with uppercase characters
in it
- Linux: Fixed sv_stats failing on FreeBSD
- Linux: Created optimized binaries for AMD and i686 (Pentium II and above).
The "hlds_run" script auto-detects your CPU type and runs the
corresponding
binary. If detection fails then edit the top line of "hlds_run" to point
to
the correct binary for your CPU type.
HLTV:
- uses "valvecomm.lst" for authentication
- fixed "NULL" player names in HLTV demos
- new command "clearbanns" - removes all IPs from bann list<!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->
I thought the beta with the bugs always came first, what a fool I am eh. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.natural-selection.org/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
it will open the console instead the gui.
What version of the linux_base port? If it's 7.1_2, this may help you: <a href='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/index.php?act=ST&f=8&t=21376&hl=freebsd' target='_blank'>Freebsd Problems</a>
5 or 6 posts down, I suggest some changes to the port's Makefile and pkg-plist.i386
While i'm sure you HLDS masters will be able to make sense of this the scenario is that if you ``+game tfc +map 2fort'' the server will load perfectly, which isnt supprising since it comes with the dedicated server, however if you ''+game ns +map ns_bast'' for example it will segfault. simply using ''+game ns'' wont cause a segfault but once you use the map command it will.
I haven't tried out the new HLDS yet. Anyone have it working under FreeBSD?
What's GDB say about your core file?
