I'd been thinking of setting up one of the comps in my house as a temp server but looks like thats not needed. <!--emo&:D--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=':D'><!--endemo-->

There's also a phone company, Optus (http://www.optus.com.au/) which hosts some servers. I can't track down their actual games site URL, but I've seen Optus servers for HL mods.

    <a href="http://www.ilangame.com" target="_blank">ILan Station</a>

My clan also currently has a TFC server up and soon to be a CS server.  Most of us plan to quit playing TFC soon and go for CS and NS. We're <a href="href="www.clansuf.com"" target="_blank">here</a>.

EDIT: FYI. Our server is a Linux server.

As I mentioned in that popularity thread, we in Portugal have a very nice, small, and flexible community. You'll become veeery popular here in Portugal, in no time.

    Now, up to the servers:
THIS guys are Portugueese, and every Portugueese gamer that has tried their servers probably agrees that they are the best. They ping great, they always have admins around, and they have server reservations options and stuff. In Portugal, everybody loves them! And because they are all gamers just like us, they're open to everything we suggest!

They serve Portugal better than anyone else. Especially because Portugueese's connections to other countries are very nasty, portugueese gamers can only play in portugueese servers if they want to play fast and tidy, and the ISPs servers are very chaotic because the ISPs just run the servers and let ppl do what they want. no admins, no updates, weak and unmoderated forums and of course... lag. That's why gamers created an entire network of their own!

    Enough misteries: They're <a href="http://www.fraglider.com/" target="_blank"><b>FRAGLIDER</b></a>!

    Website: <a href="http://www.fraglider.com/" target="_blank">http://www.fraglider.com/</a>
    E-Mail: <a href="mailto:fraglider@fraglider.com">fraglider@fraglider.com</a>

Please contact them later! They probably have already heard about you, and they're planning to install new machines during the next weeks for various games, some are less popular than this MOD is right now, even before release. Meanwhile, me and some more ppl do post stuff in their forums about your mod, so ppl are getting very interested.

    FragLider ownz!
P.S. - Foreign players have good pings on our servers, so you guys are always invited to play with us!

Hi, I have been following this mod for quite a while and I run a linux server on a dedicated T1.  I already have 2 servers running, which dont get a lot of play but they work really good.  I would be happy to host a server for NS.

I am from the UK and most of the UK based GSP's like blueyonder, barrysworld and jolt have already been mentioned. But here is a few more that I can think of.

^^^Wireplay has some nice DoD servers with very nice pings... even for a lonely Eskimo like myself. I recommend them myself. <!--emo&;)--><img src="http://www.natural-selection.org/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'><!--endemo-->

Yea me too, they also have a really nice set of forums.

    <a href="http://forums.wireplay.com" target="_blank">http://forums.wireplay.com</a>

They were the busiest forums in Europe at one stage. Really good for the community side of things

I go to a school in Massachussetts that has a lot of servers that aren't used during the night. I may be able to do a guerilla server thing like MonsE does for Shodan. I'll get back to you all on that.

the only problem with running a server like that is that I wouldn't be availible to sit there and make sure it's working, as I'd be asleep. So I'd need someone to check on it every so often with <a href="http://www.dfsoftware.com/ServerWatch/index.html" target="_blank">ServerWatch</a> so it could be maintained.

Living in michigan, UK servers are my best pings. I dunno why, the internet must like the Brits. MOSS is the only stateside server I ever use but it is a college server and I doubt they will switch to NS just because I asked nicely.

One group of nice people who offer free hosting to gaming sites is...Aznights.org.. They seem like a bussiness but I cant get your free space on one of there T1 line servers. The funny thing is I own Aznights!! So, Since we already host our own DoD server on it we thought we might as well host one of your servers, dedicated. Yeah I know You guys want your own server. In that case try MultipleImage.com.
