Lights Out In Ns_bast?

<div class="IPBDescription">???</div> in the marine spawn, a few time i have noticed that some times the lights are out, anybody know why this happens?.

    saw the same, but they seem to all go down at the same time

    yeah, there is a specific light or set of lights u can shoot that will make the room much darker. they usually go out when fades attack because of the splash damage. next time you get on the map mess around and shoot all the lights to find which one it is.

    I hate when someone pops all the lights right at the start of the game as marines. So annoying... then we can't see skulks. Then we die. Then they chuckle their little **** off. Then we lose. Then we go to the ready room and get laffed at by the alien team. o_o its like-

    ahhh the good old para... you know what now that i think about it i havent noticed the lights goin off in bast.... very strange indeed :\ but para is the funniest way to kill someone and if you try really really really hard buildings too (dont try takin out buildings tho)

    I think they should incorporate a real lighting system in NS, like make it so only aliens can kill the lights, and marines can weld them to get them back. Imagine walking along a hallway, and then ZAP! The lights go out. So, unless you want to be skulk food, you have to make it all the way to a control station and repair all the bitten wires. It would be pretty fun imo.

    The aliens would have to get some sort of nightvision-ish flashlight for it to work, though.

    There are 2 lights to shoot out, they are both on stands and have a square light part on the top. One is by the raised area where the cc is (sometimes comms build the ip on that light) the 2nd one is in the opposite corner. You can use parasite to take them out in 1 hit, or any other form of attack.

    [EDIT] Usually for a LA marine with no upgrades I think its about 15 or so parasites to kill him. I think but dont hold me to that.[/EDIT]

    It's easier once you bite them once, <b>then</b> parasite them to death. You take them out faster. If they have upgraded armor (level 1) bite them 2 times, then parasitify them to their doom!

    Seeing as darkness now favours the marines over the aliens (thats just plain weird, thanks to no alien night vision), turning off the lights on bast can be a great tactic for the marines. It makes them so much harder for the skulks to find.

    Huh? I shoot them out on purpose at the start of every round, just because it means I'm used to it WHEN the skulks turn up.
