his name is PlatO_on and he created the customisation section at ns-fr.com (french NS site) and, well, he'll be able to host it I think <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> So either send it to him or to me so I can send it to him thus solving our problem <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
and here's another smiley for you <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Well m0nky is trying to send it to me by email. But i haven't had it yet <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
Ah, yes, i just got it <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
<a href='http://www.kolumbus.fi/janne.niemimaa/m0nky_Pack.zip' target='_blank'>HERE IS THE DOWNLOAD LINK</a>'
Please don't say that this link doesn't work either... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> (it works for me)

m0nkey, its ok if he dosen't like it. People have different opinions, you don't have to get worried everytime someone dislikes it.
Link works now, thx Paq <!--emo&;)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/wink.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wink.gif'><!--endemo-->.
what is wrong with photoshop images? Its not like he didnt do any work... Filters are tools, just like everything else, combinations can make things, and he has done some cool stuff... There is nothing wrong with making art with filters...
for example (though its not very good), i made this purely using filters... Filters can be art. They are a tool... (okay, so i am not much of an artist... but so what, its a demonstration.)
yea, filters are tools you use to make art... just like a hammer and a saw is used to make a wooden thingy.... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> just what i had to say about filters... 'cause many ppl says "yea it looks cool... but it's sooo easy using that, that and that filter..." it doesn't matter how easy it is, it coming up with the idea of how it should look that's the hard part...
<!--QuoteBegin--m0nky+May 7 2003, 04:27 AM--></span><table border='0' align='center' width='95%' cellpadding='3' cellspacing='1'><tr><td><b>QUOTE</b> (m0nky @ May 7 2003, 04:27 AM)</td></tr><tr><td id='QUOTE'><!--QuoteEBegin--> yeah the marine one defenitley needs some tweaking. ill get working on it this week <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><span class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd--> Great. Well, but i will try it and see it for my self how good / bad it looks like. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> I dont even have to take backup files from the old sprites, cuz i have installed NS twice <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo--> (so i can easily switch between custom and default models)
Oh, and m0nky, when you have edited the marine sprite, send it to me and i will add it in that zip. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
Docter, thats a tweaked tutorial. Ive done it as well.
Filters are whats called "basic tools"
What you appear to be using them for is the be all and end all. Beware of this, its a trap many PS users fall into.
Personally, I think the alien sprites look ok, while the marine ones look quite awful. Don't fit the theme and all that. Anyway, keep plugging away but try and have a definite aim in mind when you create the sprites......
Really Cool, really good work. Don't let these guys get to you, most of the ones who complained about your filters havent made sprite 1 for ns, so it doesnt matter. I like tha alien ones really well, try making the marines ones sharper, but you could make it so the bars interlock like a jigsaw puzzle or something?

Don't let a few negative comments get to you.

something new to look at while building healing welding
hehehe
i like the alien ones.. but humans doesnt feel real... it needs to have a "mecha" feel
technical sharp rings.. my opinion anyways
heres a lil side error i picked up
overalll: nice but i'll only use alien ones
keep it up d00d
each incriment of the bars has a different frame...
ie... the border containing the progress changes ... this is hard to keep track of the progress
<!--emo&:angry:--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif'><!--endemo-->
hows the high tech, "clear" "sharp" marine bars coming along?
I'm using your alien sprites, but not your marines. It just doesn't feel right for the marines.
Oh well, keep it up.
Great.
I haven't seen it ingame yet, but the pic which haPi posted, health bar looks pretty odd as marines. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->
