Last time I posted some temporary pics of my hive, and got some real nice criticism, so I've been working on it, and here is what I've done (I have to put some infestation brushes yet...):

    Looks pretty nice! If those are gamma corrected then you need more lighting in there, if not, don't worry as i'ts lighter in game than in screens.

    looks cool, but when you have some polys left, make something with the celing, because.. jetpacks ;-)

    Excellent work, although I suggest you get some colour in there. Red would probably go very well.

    I'm going to suggest you add some bumps and geometry to the ceiling as well. Not just because of jetpacks, although that is an issue... but rather because the ceiling just looks... flat. Boring. A few ridges plus some texture changes will fix that right up.

    Agreed, 1st shot is very flat and the geometry is plain and uninteresting.

    I think maybe a bit more work could be used on thos walk ways - make them flush against the side of the fan tube thinys so they don't just look like they are just lying there.

    Apart from that, maybe a bit more height variation in the ceiling? Its looking a bit flat.

    I agree.
    Why not add some tubes, cables or just blocks to the celing?
    Not only because of JPs but for the looks, too.
    Personally I think it's more for the looks than for JPs, because they change a lot in 1.1 ... we'll see... just do something about that celings.
    Other rooms or corridors can be JP-friendly, but Hive Rooms should at least have SOME things on the celings to make life for JPs a bit harder.
    Lighting is ok (the ammount of lighting) but could use some more color.
    Textures are ok.

    i find it a bit...strange the lighting, maybe add a more basic light to iluminate the whole room and have the light spots just to point certain places of the room, still, nice work.

    The ceiling is empty... make variations in ceiling height and add pipes.
    Get new textures for the ventilation shafts.
    Get a better grate texture.
    Add rusty control panels.
    Add spot ligths illuminating the shafts from the floor.

    add a lot of steam in there to cover up the blockiness of the cylinders (not your fault, it's just that HL doesn't ave true curved surfaces)
