Warcraft Iii : Natural-selection

The lagalites of a WC3 mod/campaign/map?
I was just wondering what the Legal issues of anyone making a Warcraft 3 campaign, modification or map are focused around NS? Would I or anyone else living be able to create NS in WC3 without being .... given a stern telling off and all the other things that u do when braking the law etc.

I did download the leaked beta and the editor for it, made a nice fade with the new blink ability
As long as you don't use any of the textures, models, etc (not that it's possible) I don't really think he'd have a problem with it. Don't listen to me however, I'm not Flayra. The only real problem that I can see would be if you ripped off NS's textures, models, and maps, and then used them in a retail game to make money. That'd likely **** more than a few people off.

How would they even know who made the map in the first place anyway?

Good point, there are a ton of themed maps out there to a game/movie/etc that's copywritten and yet no legal action has been taken. I'm not saying you should, but it's just something to think about.
Its also able to use the NS Textures in WC3, it would be better to scale most of them down to 64x64 if anyone ever wanted to use them.
