People get fustrated because the search thing has been talked to death and since these are rather active fourms, if people post the same questions over and over the new ones get burried somewhere...Here is the fix in a nutshell....

to search, use the search box at the bottom of each area's page, unfotunatly you can't search all areas at once but it is still a search none the less.

As for the login problem, i had that for a while too and it just went away after a while. A few people have noted that for some reason this popup blocker seems to fix these problems
    <a href='http://www.proxomitron.org/' target='_blank'>http://www.proxomitron.org/</a>

It also stops unwanted popup ads from appearing, weather or not you want to install it is your decision.

    Hope that helps

Yup, that search function from up right doesn't work.
Sometimes it works for me, but usually not.

Other thing which i have noticed, is that these forums / search engines, etc works much better with Netscape Navigator 7.0 than Internet Explorer 6.0. <!--emo&???--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/confused.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='confused.gif'><!--endemo-->

Define doesn't work? I have yet to have the search button on the upper left NOT work. Dunno if it has to deal with the browser I use (opera), but I honestly have no idea what's going on whenever people say it's borked.

After testing, my browser does make the difference. GG microsoft sheep. Dunno if netscape works, but opera allows me to search. <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->

Im pretty sure there's a problem in IE...
Never seen it myself though but I've always used Proximitron and similiar programs that fix such crap <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

it seems to me that search has some time limits... extremely old posts are cycled out of the index and extremely new posts don't make it in...

just a theory, I have yet to confirm it
