Yeah I'll make this a simple question forward. Is there a deadline to the constellation or can I send the payment at any time, even after 1.1 is released? I've been meaning to send it but haven't gotten to doing so <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    You can donate before 1.1, after 1.1, basically as long as NS exists you can donate, which hopefully will be for the foreseeable future <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    thats right as far as i know , the only thing that 1.1 will cahge is that u get a little icon next to your name when u play on NS servers, just like the div team/play testers and server admins get.

    Donations to the Constellation system will be acceptable before and after the introduction of Natural-Selection 1.1 however, I think people will find it a little harder to recieve their Icon if they donate shortly thereafter 1.1. So the early bird gets the constellation icon and bragging rights of being one of the ultimate nerds in the NS community. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

    Yeah you can donate any time. The icon that will show up next to your name will show up regardless of when you donate (though there can be a small lag time before you'll see it on all servers, perhaps an hour or two).

    How exactly does the icon show up so quickly in servers? I'm guessing the 1.1 server will periodically just check for an updated version of the donor file and automatically just d/l the file?

    I dont believe so. My brother (16) has a paypal account. And you dont need a credit card either. According to him, all you need is a bank account. They transfer the funds through there.

    hah yes I don't have that neither. I only have my "child bank account" I have since I was 10 and I won't bother changing until I can't use it anymore because you got a really high % of income

    Yah, after donations are accepted, its just like a master server with all WON id's in it. Servers check it periodically, and update their list. Pretty simple stuff.
