    Spiked model, you say? LOL, no way! This is a v_* model and it can look as anything, even having a cube 100 yards away. The spiked model phenomena is used in the p_* models, which is the models used when you see other marines what weapon they are using. So, a cheat-modified (long spikes added in some directions, going through walls) p_* models is called "spiked models". This is an explanation, not a hint to make you start cheat. Thats a bad thing (duh!).
