The near universal communication for "Look newb! I've got 3 armour left, weld me you Thargoid!" is to jump up & down with your flashlight on & off.

The other one is to 'nod' by looking up & down a lot & getting in your face on purpose. He isn't doing it for a laugh you know. Whip out that Weld-o-matic™ and give him a hand!

acutually it donst need much to really get pple to come and weld you back to operational status....

get a mic : and get start shouting "WELD ME WELD ME WELD ME !!!!! SOMEONE WELD ME !!! I AM GONNA DIE >>....... WELD ME ..."

just spam this a lot and eventually they will come with that handy thing and you get welded !

It works so much better, if everyone with a welder automatically assumes that any HA needs welding, unless they just finished welding the person. A lot of the newer servers with 1.04 and adminmod also have personal ID's that tell players how much health/armor the other people on their team have. If you have a welder, and you see someone in heavy armor with this

I'm doing very well without mic. If you write like this
"weld me" it gets very little attention or they totally ignore you, because it doesnt sound convincing or important. If you weld someone when they need it, they will help you too (one aspect of teamplay).

But if you write "WELD ME", works far better. Its not ment to sound like i'm shouting at them, but giving them an order, to make it sound important. <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'>.

i've gone around a map for 5 minutes with 0 armor, ill even keep saying "WELD ME WELD ME"

it can be pretty aggravating, when the cmdr drops a welder, and some idiot picks it up and runs out the base with it.

I did that once. I had bound 'k' to 'kill', and occasionally I'd hit enter to type, but not <i>quite</i> hit it, so that when I typed in 'k' for example "medpack asap so i can kill their last hive" I'd die and everyone would laugh at me.

When I need welding I'll run up to someone who doesn't have one, drop my welder into his lap, and he's usually grateful enough to weld me. ^_^

A "Need Welding" com would be nice, or armor showing up somehow (liek someone mentioned).

You know, I can very rarely understand what someone says on mic - I keep encountering what sound like children or just a distorted mess - and all of that in English too! I once clearly heard someone say: "WELD ME! WELD ME! WELD ME YOU FOOKIN' IDIOT!" and once "Incoming!" just before some skulks rushed our base while we built an IP - and only tha one seemed useful to me. I tend to consider Voice Comms "Spamming" since I rarely have heard anyone use it well. They probably didn't weld you because you spammed them with so much audio info that they thought: "It'll cost a tonne of resources, but it will make this universe a much better place if he dies." <img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'>
