<div class="IPBDescription">Five new screenshots</div> Ok people, I've been checking some of the work I had done in the map, since it's VERY close to its internal release (private playtests) it's... 95% done.

Screenshots, yes, screenshots, oh, before you start telling me: where is the light coming from in that hive?

I must say: I was just doing some small... "light test" on the hive, so it has no sources, I'll add them in the next version / compile

    The first pic looks amazing, but you should get a better water texture, and remove the water ( there isnt any water on phobos) But im concerned that the rocks may use up to many faces, make sure to apply null textures to the faces that cannont be seen. and i reccomend useing a model for that area, itll look alot nicer and also reduce the face count.

    The hive looks way to bland, i reccomend adding something like pipes, also make the area smaller, its useing up much needed space, w/o really doing anything to them.

    The room with the res node is also to big for 1 node, put 2 in there to make it a "hot spot" for res.

    the hive needs a little brushwork and more infestation. put infested textures onto the red steam things... and also make ... well, yeah, brush infestation around it.

    Well, since the NS Storyline is far far away from Earth, that means this is not the same phobos you know <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo--> (nice excuse, huh?)

    I've nulled the faces that HL renders but the player can't see (like the outside part of the corridor, and everything under the water). In fact, the highest peak is around 510 polys or so.


    And about the room with the res node... it's not that big... <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->

    The hallways looks wierd and defored - somehow. It just doesn't seem to be in a shape one would expect a hallway to be. It would also be murder for skulks to traverse.

    The fans in the hive seem out of place. they look cool, but it's apparent that the only reason they exist is to have four red fans in the hive. It's also rather disturbing that they look totally identical.

    the stairs look improved now that the whole thing is no longer lit, however again, I'm worried about those poor skulks outside of the pit trying to kill marines inside.

    That first picture id perfect. I can't think of any changes I could suggest. The hive room is mostly boring, and I think it can be related directly to the large, flat cieling. The flat cieling is also a problem in the res node room. Some variation up top would be great, and would probably give those rooms the visual appeal they need.

    The pics look extreamly sweet, but the cooling system hive has me worried. It looks far too open; marines and turret farms would, I assume, have a feild day there. Maybe, if possible, raise those 4 cooling grates up to create "towers" around the res node. This would give the skulks some cover for possible assults.

    move the hive above the coling system, move the res point some were else and make that hive less large, its too open, realy.. but i LOVE the cooling system.. but the rest of the hive is just horrible.. but keep that super cool cooling system

    There are some nice suggestions I'll take a look at.

    Yes, I'm pretty bad at detailing ceilings, and my rooms are a little skulk-hell in cover terms.

    Let's see if I can improve the ceilings and the cover (and make the hive a little smaller... <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)

    Hive big, scary, open, jp friendly, no hiding spots, ahhhhh. Make the hive<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'> a liittle bit smaller</span> And not so... well... square.
