<div class="IPBDescription">What a sweet toy</div> I like games, if they are fun, I like them. And that is why I bought the gameboy advance SP to replace my scratched and battered Gameboy advance. It has accompanied me on many a dull journey but OH BOY THAT DARK SCREEN HAS RUBBED ME TEATS THE WRONG WAY.
To any doubters: GBA SP is actally more comfortable to play on than any previous gameboy IMO. The lighting is front lit, but it works just fine. Battery time is set at 10 hours on light, though I am sure i can play at least 11 when I turn down the sound some. And now to my list of lovely Gameboy Advance games that are worth investing in.
<b>Mario category</b>
Super Marioland, Super Mario World, Yoshi's Island, Wario Land 4
All four are good buys, especially if you haven't played them before. Wario Land 4 is the winner since it's original and very well produced.
<b>Roleplaying game</b>
Golden Sun, Golden Sun 2, Zelda
Typical japanese RPG fair. But showing the power of the GBA quite well. Zelda is a bit altmodisch to look at. It's not my diet though I can see it's an entertaining game.
<b>Retro/nostalgia</b>
Quite a few re-releases of old Nintendo and arcade titles.
Bubble Bobble Old & New (Import). Game & Watch Gallery Advance.
I simply LOVE Bubble Bobble. Faithful remake, if a bit easier than the original. With screen scaling. Game & WAtch gallery has fun but simplistic games. Both "emulations" and remakes.
There are more games that are worth investing in, but these are just the ones I've had the chase to play or borrow. Imports work just fine, there is no such thing as "PAL" and "NTSC" gameboys.

I have played on mine A LOT MORE after I got the SP. When you look back the first GBA is really a shite design.
In fact, I think I'd have bought more games for the GBA if the SP was the LAUNCH design- Too often I couldn't be bothered playing on it due to it's design and stupid fecking lack of light. Now I find myself enjoying a short game ANY where I want to. Its fun.
but nothing can beat the oldschool GB that was gray and the size of a small brick <!--emo&:D--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif'><!--endemo-->
I got a phone jack adapter for $2... its really an itty bitty thing. Build in phone jack would have made the gba sp larger.

oh if it's just 2 bucks then I'll get SP with the jack.
Think they released Phantasy Star collection. That close enough? <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo-->
- Metal Gear: Ghost Babel (Or here in the US since marketting people are tards, Metal Gear Solid). Very cool, especially if you played the original Metal Gear on nes/msx, as its a nice blend of the 2d overhead Metal Gear style with some moves and other cool stuff from the Solid series. And a suprisingly complex story w/ quite a few "cutscenes" for it being a GBC game and all. And the music for it is quite cool too, as cool as GBC music can be anyway. The story is actually better than MGS2: Sons of Liberty in my opinion. :P
- METROID FUSION!!!!!!!!!!!! omg omg omg. If you loved Super Metroid, you'll love this.
Keeps me from getting bored out of my mind at work. <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->

Haz, do try the Ogre Knight Lodis or something game... I dont have it any more. It's rpg but more turn based strategy. Also if you are in for some "akshun", consider getting Metroid Fusion. I agree, this game is a pearl. I never played any of the old metroids, so for me this was a revelation in platform action.
