Metamod Install

<div class="IPBDescription">plz don't kill me..</div> ill probably get yelled at for asking this.. with SEARCH THE FORUMS replies, but i couldn't find anything.

I downloaded metamod and when to install it, and found that you have to do it all by hand.. thats crap, i don't have time to do that..

is there some installer for it, or setting-up-metamod-for-dummies page??

    heheheheh, I had this exact same problem, basically I recommend installing adminmod becuase it installs metamod for you

    If you don't have the time to install metamod by hand, then don't bother running it or any other metamod plugins.

    If you want a nice installer, download and install AdminMod. it installs Meta as part of itself.

    But you'll still have to install every other metamod plugin BY HAND, so get used to it.

    <sheesh> honestly... if you can't be bothered to learn about your system and understand how it works, then you probably shouldn't be running a server. Running a server is actually pretty darn time intensive.

    If you don't have the time to configure metamod, then you REALLY don't have the time to configure AdminMod or any of its scripts.

    If you need help, ask and you will get help. <!--emo&:)--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif'><!--endemo--> Complain that you don't have the time/patience/etc to solve your problem, and you'll catch heck.

    I think the last time I installed metamod, it took less time to install than it's taking me to write this post right now.

    hahaha, well my ns folder is very **** up, lots of random crap and my server dosn't work very well... <!--emo&:(--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif'><!--endemo-->

    I will probably just delete the folder and reinstall it, i got metamod to work fine, but i couldn't get plugins to work or other cool stuff that i know you can do with servers.

    I guess plugins are the thing that is holding me up more then anything, and i wanted to put bot support with metamod too, but my information didn't match what the readme says to do and all that ****...
