The shots are darker than ingame cause i suck at doing post-game gamma/contrast correction.

Comments appreciated. Be honest, I can take it

Wheres my prize?... Anyways i think its pretty good but i think you need more contrast in the lighting.

RBY is correct - more contrast.

And taking a second look it seems in that large room your having a scaling problem with the textures, not a huge problem. But it would be nice to see the supports on the ceilings as more of a bearing than just some bulky scrap metal thats only pulling the ceiling down.

I think you need to put more variation into the floor and ceilings. In some places they are good and some places they are just repeating tiles.

I think the problem with these shots isn't so much the lighting, although in a few it seems a bit boring.
The main problem, in my opinion, is that there is NO variation in the level of the floor. It is just one flat plane, throughout all those shots. Add some raised areas, some walkways, a lift to a second level, something to give it some depth.

I totally agree with Bozman, some areas look plain boring, there isnt much going on, on the ground, its just a flat plate. Now don't start putting crates everywhere, cuz thats a bad thing but try to put something original, like... i dont know, im not the mapper

    Good luck!

Pull some of the floorplates out, exposing techie stuff or infestation underneath, leave the plates lying around.

Or replaces some of the plates with gratings, with pipes underneath. Or intestation. Or both

it is a bit too wide open, but the architecture is very nice. good job.

    good stuff guys.

and yeah it is a bit open in the marine spawn, but i kinda like it that way. perhaps i'll make it a bit smaller later.

the levels do vary in height, you just can't tell from the individual shots i had heh. the green room w/ a red stripe has a lift in it for example,a nd the hive (just build it, no shots) is up 2 stories. but i'll work more on height differences within the individual rooms as well...

nice feedback waht i'm getting, but i'd prefer a lot more please. if you feel the thing sucks, say so. i can take it :P

well the thing is maybe not the flatness, possibly it just needs to be broken up some more, add things in the rooms so yours eyes are not just drawn to the expansive floor or cieling. When I look at these shots the first thing i think is simple, but i go back and i see lots of good details. They need to be accented somehow, cause right now you just get the impression your posting big empty room screenshots. The only other problem I see is some of your texture transitions, espeacially in the shot with the cieling haveing those metal support beams as part of the texture. Its like the texture was just randomly chosen, it doesnt conncect to the walls and doesnt seem to fit. You probably want to check other places that i overlooked in that category also. Now that I said all that bad stuff..... I actually do like the shots. I really like your wall archetecture in places, and the little details that add to the atmosphere of the map. I think your lighting is good overall though a little boring in a few places. Keep at it.
