    Give Fade his umbra back! And switch out Acid Rocket with a temporary cloaking while moving ability! Make him a melee god! Rawr!

    I think that marines are going to get screwed here. I have never played a game where marines owning 2 hives ment game over for aliens. In fact i have played games where the marines have 2 hives, and are sieging the 3rd and the aliens still won. The fact of the matter is that in 1.04 If the aliens work as a a team and rush 1 stop, no force can stop them.

    I recall a game where marines has lv3 everything and hmgs+jet packs 2 hives. As aliens all we did was hit 1 stop over and over again intill we took it. It did take like 30min, but the jp/hmg marines with 4 sieges could not stop the horde of 1 hive aliens. The game is never over... For aliens.

    Now i can only image playing a game where lv0 marines with 2 hives get raped by 1 hive onos...

    Considering that all that's available to aliens are gorges (fat and slow), lerks (very weak) or skulks (need to get in close) at 1 hive currently, you must have been playing with some sad marines, or had a mass drop-out.

    Mine everything (Skulks can't get in), keep 1 person around in each hive (keeps lerks/gorges at bay) and the game is over.

    As for your 30 minute game, I again point to the above... Mines stop skulks, people stop the other classes.

    The issue as I see it is Marines believe that once they get Jp/HMG, everything else goes out the window. They stop defending areas, they stop mining up... everyone runs to the armoury and demands things...

    So when JP/HMG enter the picture everyone (comm included) get complacent thinking they have won...

    Uproar, I think that game you recall should be categorized as a fluke. Normally, 2 hives locked down = painful death for aliens. Besides, as stated before, we have no idea what this will do to the game since none of us save for Coil are playtesters.     to me it looks like mass marine rapage would insue, then you add the fact that all the newbies always go marine and its an easy alein win.
    i think a big problem with aleins having all aleins and abilties at the beigning would be lerk spore as well it would be so annoying for the rines if a lerk was sporong there IP so when they come out they get injured and to get healed rine have to waste res on med packs and a welder. plus you could have skulks rush and lerk spore the exits and stuff... highly irritating

    Kippo, I'm pretty sure the aliens aren't getting all abilities at start. Nothing that has been posted officially and even in rumors has said aliens start with all abilities. The devs it seems are just considering letting all alien classes be open from the start. You apparently would still need to get the hives to get teh cool abilities.

    But hey, I'm not a playtester so I'm just going on conjecture and what i've heard.

    Ok, obviously some confusion here...

    1 hive aliens and their abilities would be as follows:

    Skulk- Bite/Parasite
    Lerk - Bite/Spike
    Gorge - Spit/Health Spray
    Fade - Claw/(either rockets or blink depending on what they do)
    Onos - Charge/Paralyze (I think, I don't ever play ONOS)

    At 2 hives add:

    Skulk - Leap
    Lerk - Umbra
    Gorge - Webs
    Fade - (Blink or Rockets again as above)
    Onos - whatever the 3rd ability is.


    at 3 hives add the last ability.

    A one hive alien while having the ability to go fade will not have BILE or BLINK (as it stands now).

    So don't worry about a 1 hive ONOS using Primal Scream.. It won't happen...

    Again this is based on the other bits of info and rumours that I have seen here... Actual 1.1 results may vary..
