<div class="IPBDescription">Could use some help!</div> It been quite some time i just remarked this.. when i play half-life mod ( NS,CS,Dod,etc..) And i Use mutliple button at the same time ( Like my mousewheel,crouch,arrow,etc.. ) to fast my game become scraped.. it like im holding the shift button to death ( currently walking ) and when im writtin down it the same thing ( LIKE IM WRITTING LIKE THIS!!@@#$%?&? ) all my keyboard and even my windows is crashed.. when i click it like a double click.. i cant even get out of windows normally.. i got win Xp not on sp1. and this seem to happen more frenquently.. i just formatted like 1 month ago and it was already doing this before... if any1 know how to solve my problem ill be Veary greatfull....

ok, so far as I can tell your problem is this:
At random times (you think it is linked to pressing tomany buttons) you will get a few errors:
1) your shift key is constantly pressed.
2) All mouse clicks come out as double clicks.
3) this effects both HL and windows.
4) you don't have SP1.
5) you did a reformat recently and you had this roblem both before and after.
solutions:
1) Get SP1 (you should have it any way, it fixes ssome security errors as I remember)
2) Do you have a USB or PS2 mouse/keyboard (descride them both, wireless? old? new? usb? PS2? etc)
3) Have you tried ussing a different keyboard/mouse?
4) do you get this anywhere else? (other games, in windows?)
5) can you recreate this reliably? (is the a set group of buttons/keys you can press to make this happen)
6) Do both of these effects (shift beeing held down and all mouse clicks beeing 2x) exist in both environments (XP and HL).
For instance, all of your typing (both in and out of HL) is alwaysed caps, and all your mouse clicks are 2x (for instance if you try to shoot the pistol do you shoot times?)
7) when you reformated did you do a full reformat and CLEAN install of windows? (wipe the HD then reinstall everything)?

1- To have Sp1 i need to change my cd-key so my XP dont get **** up. ( Pirated Version )
2- Usb Mouse , Logitech with a wire ,optical mouse. Ps2 Keyboard.
3-No but i tried another computer ( at a Lan Center and it didnt happen.. but it VERY randomly ( mostly in NS because i use much more the mousewheel.
4- No.. But i dont use the mousewheel as much as NS ( i prolly think it when im moving+ walking or crounching and use the mousewheel at the same moment )
5- i could but as i told you it pretty hard to do.
6- well in NS it the only bug is when i type down ( all letter are in capital ) and im moving like im walking. And when im in Windows it like im only doing double click and writing in capital letter.
7-Yes.

control panel -> accessibility options -> uncheck everything

here are my ideas:
I have had this hapen to me before (however I had cntrl and alt stuck down, so yah, typing was outa the question <!--emo&:p--><img src='http://www.unknownworlds.com/forums/html/emoticons/tounge.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tounge.gif'><!--endemo-->)
my only fix back then was to reboot (it actualy never hapened whn I gammed only when browsing the net)
so I don't know if this relates at all, just saying I have seen something like it.
The fact that this continues to hapen after a clean install leads me to believe that it is either one of those random programs we all have (try closing all nonesential programs before gamming), hardware failure, or a borked up copy of XP
hardware failure is not to likely in my mind b/c it effects both your mouse and keyboard.
Though you still could try and get new drivers for both of them.
that leaves borked OS.
All I can say is get a legal copy of either XP or 2K (the 2 good OSes)
Honestly it is best to get a real copy simply so you can avoid all of the security holes that are in the unpatched versions.

If it's what I think it's a classic error which I don't know anyone who's experienced
Well acctually it's 2 classic errors
Anyway the first one is that random keys lock as if they're still being pressed
Simple solution: acctually press them and they'll unlock
The second one is that single mouseclicks work as double
I can't really remember the solution for this one...
Let's see...
Maybe a restart...
Anyway im sorry if I've insulted anyone by being to obvious so if it aint this and it's acctually a creepy error then forgive me
