    wow thats awesome, does it work on whatever irc server your on? or is it designed solely for gamesnet?
  • abtmabtm Join Date: 2003-04-08 Member: 15337Members
    Works very nicely, keep up the good work, and try posting this in the clans section as well, many clan leaders may find this highly viable for them to get a scrim faster.

    In #ns.pcw on qnet we have a pcwbot where you can put in a pcw request and see what requests others have made. It' really simple, it's really good.

    pcw = practice clan war = scrim

    no, it doesn't matter on what irc network you are. the client works with 1 database located on my computer.

    am i the only one here who dispises the words "scrimm" and "pcw" (ok the last one is an abbreviation).

    what ever happened to "Praccys, matches, games, league games, cup games" etc etc etc. it sounds like we've moved away from the competitve gameslike words to these ultra war like words when the matches are anything but a war. Match : yes, game : yes , battle : possibly , war : no

    The terms "scrim" and "pcw" need to be scorched from the face of the planet and entombed for all eternity in The Litany Of Stupid Words Which Should Never Be Uttered Ever.

    heh...sometimes if you don't have anything valuable to add, please don't flame or make useless commentary that no one bothers to read. It's better to post generically positive or constructive criticisms, not post junk like "omg, hax this thing blows hard" that doesn't do anything to help ANYONE and it just makes people look full of hot air and stupidity.

    2) youd rather call it a praccy? are you british or something?
    3) dont pollute this useful thread with mindless banter.

    Seems handy but there is a bug.

    * /dll: unable to open 'E:\Install\Applications\mIRC\mdx\mdx.dll' (line 108, findscrim.mrc)

    Easy fix, just add $scriptdir to all paths.

    Like this;

    alias mdx { return $+($scriptdir,mdx\mdx.dll) }
    alias ctl { return $+($scriptdir,mdx\ctl_gen.mdx) }
    alias bars { return $+($scriptdir,mdx\bars.mdx) }
    alias views { return $+($scriptdir,mdx\views.mdx) }

    That way people can install it to the directory of their choosing. I prefer a personal subfolder for any addons I install, doing this ensures full compatibility.

    it's not a bug.
